Jedi: Fallen Order is one of the more substantial additions to the extended Star Wars universe since Disney’s acquisition. The game told the story of Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan that survived Order 66 and has been on the run ever since. Fallen Order had some direct links to the series as a whole, and even featured a couple of iconic characters.

Of course, past those obvious links, the game is loaded with different references and Easter Eggs; from potentially visiting the planet that would later become Starkiller Base, to straight-up quotes from the movies and TV series.

But if there’s one thing that the internet loves, it’s Star Wars memes. From the goldmine of the prequel films to the meteoric rise of Baby Yoda, there’s no shortage of Star Wars content on the web. Jedi: Fallen Order takes the time to reference one of the most iconic memes out there.

How Fallen Order References a Popular Star Wars Meme

There are plenty of famous Star Wars quotes out there, and plenty of memes on top of that; there’s even an entire subreddit called PrequelMemes. There’s one particular meme that clearly outstrips every other, however, and that’s the high ground. Fallen Order has a direct reference to this iconic scene from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

During the assault on Kashyyyk, there’s a moment where Cal is climbing underneath a window that has two Scout troopers looking out. As Cal moves under one trooper says “I just heard from the captain, they’re coming,” to which the other responds “At least we have the high ground.” Of course, the high ground doesn’t help them whatsoever when Cal takes them down a moment later. YouTube user Tentacle Farmer has uploaded a clip showing the Easter Egg.
