A new video shared by Jennifer Aniston shows Adam Sandler dancing with the crew on the tropical set of Murder Mystery 2. Released in 2019, the first Murder Mystery became a bit hit for Netflix and currently sits on the streamer’s top ten most-watched original films of all time. The film follows a New York couple’s European vacation, which quickly goes wrong after the two are framed for the murder of a wealthy elite.

Murder Mystery may not have fared well with critics (it currently sits at just 45% on Rotten Tomatoes), but its popularity with audiences resulted in Netflix greenlighting a sequel shortly after its release. Few details are known about the sequel’s plot thus far, but the original film did end with the Sandler and Aniston’s characters boarding the famed Orient Express, possibly hinting at what fans can expect in Murder Mystery 2. The upcoming sequel is part of an ongoing distribution deal between Sandler and Netflix, which has already produced a host of other films, including Hubie Halloween, The Ridiculous 6, The Do-Over, Sandy Wexler, and The Week Of.

A new Instagram post from Aniston shows that both the cast and crew are having fun producing Murder Mystery 2. In addition to an ocean-side photo of Sandler and Aniston, the post also includes a video featuring Sandler dancing with the crew on the film’s tropical set with the caption, “Back to work with my buddy.” Check out Aniston’s Instagram post below:

Aniston’s post comes several weeks after leaked set photos provided a first glimpse at the sequel’s Hawaii set. While not giving anything away in terms of Murder Mystery 2‘s plot, Aniston’s post does provide a closer look at the set and makes clear that both cast and crew are keeping things light and breezy in the movie’s tropical location. It remains to be seen whether the film is actually set in Hawaii or if Hawaii is acting as a stand-in for another locale.

Murder Mystery 2 marks the third time Sandler and Aniston have starred in a movie together after 2011’s Just Go With It and the original Murder Mystery. If the first movie is anything to go by, the sequel will have plenty of murder, intrigue, and laughs to go around with Sandler and Aniston’s characters getting caught up once more in the fallout from an unexpected fatality. While filming on Murder Mystery 2 is still underway, a 2022 release date for the movie seems likely, but no official announcements have been made just yet.
