Star of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Deena Cortese has stood up to the trolls who criticized her son’s feet. The new mom was furious that she had to defend herself saying that it was no one’s business other than her and her family’s.

Originally Cortese had auditioned for season 1 of Jersey Shore but was ultimately rejected. Luckily for the meatball when Angelina Pivarnick quit the show Nicole Polizzi brought her name back into the ring, and the rest was history. Cortese quickly grew to become a fan favorite, especially after her striptease for Mike Sorrentino. Now years later, Cortese has married Christopher Buckner and the two welcomed their baby boy on January 5th, 2019.

The new mother is livid about the remarks she had been receiving online from fans and haters alike regarding her son, CJ. Cortese took to her Instagram to respond to the issue of messaging that she has had regarding her one-year-old son’s feet. The reality star opened up about her son being diagnosed with Metatarsus Adductus, which is a common foot deformity that occurs at birth in the front half of the foot and causes the foot to turn inward. She began her message with, “I’ve been getting a lot of messages about CJs feet, how he walks and other mothers ridiculing me for not putting shoes on him at 1 years old.” Check out the full statement below:

I’ve been getting a lot of messages about CJs feet, how he walks and other mothers ridiculing me for not putting shoes on him at 1 years old .. please before messaging me telling me what I should do or asking and making comments about why he’s not wearing shoes.. maybe ask if I’ve already looked into what you see could be wrong ..because more than likely I have ..anything you guys notice about my son .. I most likely noticed it before anyone else.. I just didn’t think it was necessary to let anyone know why his feet went the way they do .. or the reason he’s not wearing shoes .. I appreciate the concerning messages but maybe come in asking and not telling .. that doesn’t make a mother feel great 🤷🏻‍♀️ CJ has Metatarsus Adductus.. and will be getting night braces to get it corrected .. he’s had it since he was born but we noticed it at 10 months when he started walking .. the doctor says it’s common and we’ve been on top of it .. unfortunately his right foot has an extreme case and he literally can not get a shoe on .. that is why CJ isn’t in shoes and just socks and booties

Apparently, Cortese had been bombarded by messages from people who felt the need to tell her how to parent her child. The new mother asked that before anyone messages her that they maybe stop and think about the possibility that she had already looked into the situation. The reality star ended her statement by saying maybe the do-gooders should try to approach her by asking her what was wrong not just telling her. Cortese told her fans that while she does “appreciate the concerning messages” it also “doesn’t make a mother feel great.”

The new mother also told her followers that CJ had the condition since he was born and would be getting night braces to fix the problem. For now, CJ will continue to wear socks and booties as his right foot can not fit into a shoe properly. Fans are looking forward to seeing Cortese return to the small screen when Jersey Shore: Family Vacation returns in the New Year.
