Jimmy Kimmel has shared a fun image envisioning himself as Kraven the Hunter in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Kraven has long been one of the most popular villains from the Spider-Man comics. However, despite appearing in numerous animated projects, the character has yet to show up in a live-action movie. That will soon change, as Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who’s already portrayed Quicksilver in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was cast to lead Sony’s Kraven solo film in May 2021.

Both before and after Taylor-Johnson’s casting, many have theorized Kraven will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, with the recently released trailer confirming the movie will deal with the multiverse, it seems like it already has quite a lot on its plate. Still, that didn’t stop Kimmel from fan-casting himself to replace Taylor-Johnson as the iconic villain.

Following the debut of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, Kimmel shared an edited image of himself dressed as Kraven, complete with the character’s iconic fur wardrobe and abundant facial hair. Making it very clear the image was in reference to the trailer, Kimmel used the #SpiderManNoWayHome hashtag. Check out the star’s funny image below:

This isn’t the first time Kimmel has joked about played Kraven the Hunter in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Back in October 2020, the late-night host tweeted that he was “thrilled to announce” he would be playing Kraven in the upcoming movie, even tagging star Tom Holland for good measure. Even though Kimmel was clearly joking then and still is now, it seems Kraven is a favorite character of his. Both his tweet and the new image also show the star’s willingness to have a little fun with a major release like the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer.

At this point, it’s impossible to know for sure if Kraven will appear in the film. With the trailer confirming the return of Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock and heavily teasing Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, it may make more sense for Sony to hold off on introducing Kraven until his solo film, at least in a substantial way. If Taylor-Johnson does end up making his debut as Kraven in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it seems more likely it will be in a post-credits scene set apart from the movie’s story. However, with Marvel and Sony keeping many details about the film a secret, all won’t be revealed until Spider-Man: No Way Home releases in December.
