Despicable Me has proven to be one of the most popular animation movies of the past decade, spawning an entire franchise due to how much people enjoyed it. While Steve Carell is given huge praise for his brilliant voice work in this movie, Julie Andrews also provides a voice.

She also brings an incredible accent to this film as she plays Gru’s mother, Marlena. While it’s not a major part, she is a fun supporting character as someone who is incredibly sweet and cute with her grandchildren, but incredibly grumpy and disapproving of her son.

Julie Andrews has a major connection with the Walt Disney Company, and one of those comes through her role in Enchanted. Andrews works as the narrator of this movie which blends live-action and animation together.

This romantic movie is very enjoyable to watch and while Millie is a little naive, especially because she’s new to the wide world that is New York. Julie plays the character hilariously and that really helps the movie feel like an exciting adventure as she learns to mature and adapt.

One of Disney’s greatest ever movies, Mary Poppins has remained a classic and despite how had Walt Disney had to work to get the rights to this one, it certainly proved to be worthwhile. Julie Andrews was amazing in this role, helping to create such an iconic character.

She brought the perfect balance of joy and excitement alongside a kind sternness in order to work as a nanny. Mary Poppins is such a fun character that it set Julie Andrews up for life and created a role and a movie that will stand the test of time.
