Jump Force has dozens of characters from the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan, and more are going to be added in upcoming DLC – but which DLC characters should release? Weekly Shonen Jump has been home to some of the most popular manga series of all time, including Bleach, Dragon Ball, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia, Naruto, and One Piece. Because of that, the roster of characters in Jump Force is huge, with a selection of 42 playable heroes and villains, as well as the ability to make a custom character of your own design.

At some point, nine DLC characters will be released as part of a season pass, who can also be purchased separately after they are made available. There are a lot of possible characters that could make it into Jump Force as DLC, with several popular characters from famous series being notably absent.

There are also prominent Weekly Shonen Jump series that have since finished that have no representation in the game, as well as characters from new series that are rising in popularity that could use the promotion of appearing alongside the likes of Goku, Luffy, and Naruto. Since there are plenty of characters who were absent at launch, here’s who should appear in DLC.

10. Itachi Uchiha (Naruto)

Itachi Uchiha was a prominent antagonist in Naruto during the first half of the series, where he was believed to have slain the entire Uchiha clan and defected from Konoha in order to join Akatsuki. The truth behind Itachi’s motivations became a major part of the second half of Naruto, where it was revealed that there was more to Itachi’s actions than anyone had ever realized.

Sasuke Uchiha (Itachi’s brother) is already in Jump Force, but there are enough differences in the abilities and jutsu used by both characters to differentiate them from each other. Itachi relied on illusions and long-range attacks, while Sasuke preferred to use melee weapons and short-range techniques. Itachi was one of the most popular characters in Naruto, even before it was revealed that he was secretly a good guy all along, so he seems like a natural fit for a DLC character in Jump Force.

9. Gohan (Dragon Ball)

Gohan might be the most conspicuously absent character in Jump Force, as he was briefly the protagonist of Dragon Ball and has always been one of the most popular characters in the series. If there was any safe bet on a character who will be added to Jump Force, then it would have to be on Gohan.

The real question is which form of Gohan would appear? The two most likely answers are the teenage version of Gohan that defeated Perfect Cell by achieving the Super Saiyan 2 form, while the other choice would be the older Gohan who had his potential unlocked by the Old Kai during the Buu Saga. We likely won’t be seeing any version of Gohan from Dragon Ball Super, due to his diminished role in that series, with the possible exception of his horrible green tracksuit being an extra costume.

8. Koro-Sensei (Assassination Classroom)

Assassination Classroom had one of the most peculiar premises of any series to ever appear in Weekly Shonen Jump – an alien (who is given the name Koro-Sensei) destroys 70% of the moon and tells the authorities of Earth that they have a year in which to destroy him, otherwise he will destroy the Earth. Koro-Sensei gets a job as a teacher and his students are tasked with trying to take his life. The students’ mission becomes difficult, as they grow to genuinely care for Koro-Sensei and his lessons.

Assassination Classroom has finished, but the series is still beloved by those who read it or saw the anime and Koro-Sensei would be a popular choice to appear in Jump Force. Koro-Sensei was an incredibly powerful being with the capacity to move at Mach 20 speed and the ability fire energy beams from his body, which would let him fit right in with most of the cast of Jump Force.

7. Kinnikuman (Kinnikuman)

Kinnikuman was one of the most popular Weekly Shonen Jump series of the ’80s. It started out as a parody of Ultraman, before evolving into a pro-wrestling battle manga involving gimmick characters fighting each other in the ring.

The sequel series to Kinnikuman became popular outside of Japan in the ’00s, where it was known as Ultimate Muscle. The original Kinnikuman is still more popular than its sequel, so we aren’t likely to see Kid Muscle appearing in the game over Kinnikuman himself. Kinnikuman would likely use a range of professional wrestling moves in battle, as well as his own range of personal finishing moves, such as the Kinniku Buster and the Muscle Spark.

6. Raoh (Fist of the North Star)

Jump Force includes Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star, which is due to how that popular that series was in the days before Dragon Ball. Kenshiro was always guaranteed a place in Jump Force, but it’s surprising that we haven’t seen any of his villains.

Kenshiro had several prominent villains in Fist of the North Star, but the two most popular were Raoh and Shin. The reason we’re choosing Raoh over Shin is due to the fact that thousands of people attended a real-life funeral that was held for Raoh in Japan, which just goes to show how much of a beloved character he was.

Raoh is a master of Hokuto Shinken, which is the same martial arts style used by Kenshiro. The two of them had one of the most epic battles in the history of anime & manga and it seems almost certain that they will resume their conflict in Jump Force.
