Kathy Griffin Attacks Andy Cohen For His Texts After Joan Rivers Passed Away

Comedian Kathy Griffin is at it again on Twitter, and she’s using the platform to reignite her long-standing feud with Andy Cohen from Watch What Happens Live! She even went as far as calling him a POS… and revealed past texts she received from Andy on the night Joan Rivers passed away. In case you don’t know what POS means, look it up. It’s not really nice.

Earlier this week, Kathy Griffin initially started out by attacking Page Six gossip columnist, Cindy Adams, tweeting F**k #CindyAdams. I have a little tea for you guys about her. Of course she’s trying to take down #MaryTrump. Typical. I’ve never spoken about this before, here we go. This dragging of Adams was triggered by a recent Twitter post Cindy made, via Page Six. Cindy Adams wrote: “Trump’s niece is ‘drawing blood to make money’ with new book.” This apparently upset Griffin, who has been very vocal about her dislike for President Trump. Many will recall the scandal that erupted back in 2017… Kathy held up a disturbing and gruesome bloody head that resembled Donald Trump. 

Griffin carries on her Twitter rage about Cindy Adams, and then brings Andy Cohen (now a father, mind you, of a 17-month-old boy named Benjamin) back in the mix. Check out her Twitter rant below which appears @kathygriffin:  B) When my beloved Joan Rivers passed away, I was devastated. I still miss Joan every day as I know you guys do. She wasn’t just a mentor, she was a true and giving friend to me. Couple things about that awful week: C) That POS Andy Cohen texted me the day Joan died with something like “you should take over Fashion Police.” My friend Joan was a person, not a job opportunity. Around that time #CindyAdams ran some BS in Page Six saying…D) I had been standing over Joan’s bed while she was in a coma (of course this never happened but…) ringing my hands in anticipation of getting the stupid Fashion Police gig. E) This was a bridge too far, even for me. I called my then-publicist, Cindi Berger (don’t even know if she’s still in the business, but whatever)…F) and asked her to confront #CindyAdams. Berger told me “ignore it. Put that newspaper in the bottom of the birdcage.” 

Here’s the rest of the rant: G) Side note:#CindyAdams and Joan Rivers were friends. In fact, the three of us even had dinner one time in NYC. For some reason, Cindy Adams’ lie about me in the NY Post haunts me.H) I can’t believe I’ve been fearful and convinced by others to not dispute that false and disgusting lie. I) In my opinion, this is what #CindyAdams does for a living. She tried to convince her readers that her dear friend Joan Rivers would ever be in a friendship with anyone ringing their hands over her deathbed?? J) Come at me now b*tch and see if I care. Love, Kathy Griffin PS: RIP Joan 4 EVAH.  

Fans may recall the previous war of words Kathy had with Real Housewives confidante Andy Cohen back in 2017. She accused him of offering her cocaine before going on his show, Watch What Happens Live!, and Andy vehemently denied the allegation. Griffin also accused Andy of being a terrible boss while on her show, My Life On The D-List, which lasted 6 seasons on Bravo.

In case you were wondering, devoted dad Andy Cohen did get the last laugh (so far) on his Twitter @Andy with this response, I loved her too. I texted you the evening she died saying how brilliant you were on CNN, & what a unique club you were in w/ JR. The next day I texted saying you’d be great on FP. A few months prior texted you suggesting you take over 1230 on CBS. What awful texts! XO POS ANDY.
