Kena: Bridge of Spirits – How to Beat Corrupt Rot God (Final Boss)

In Kena: Bridge of Spirits, players will explore and fight their way through an overgrown forest in search of the sacred mountain shrine. As the story progresses, Kena will build and upgrade a team of spirit companions called Rot. They help her in various ways to solve the mysteries of the forest and defeat the powerful enemies who inhabit it.

Like any adventure game, there are great boss battles in Kena: Bridge of Spirits that consistently test the player’s skills. There are 16 bosses to defeat. Each boss will present a new and more difficult challenge than the last, and the most powerful of them is the final boss, the Corrupt Rot God.

The final boss in Kena: Bridge of Spirits has two fight phases, with a few minor enemy spawns, and a platforming area in between. There are only a few moves players need to watch for, but they can deal a lot of damage. Beating the Corrupt Rot God will require a lot of patience, dodging, and some well-timed shots to its weak points.

How to Defeat the Corrupt Rot God in Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Similar to a Legend of Zelda boss battle, the Corrupt Rot God in Kena: Bridge of Spirits has multiple attacks and several weak points that will need to be exploited. The Corrupt Rot God has four moves in the first phase of the fight, and a new one will be added in the second phase. Players will need to dodge or use a shield against its arm sweep, red laser beam, ground smash, and fist slam. In the second part, the Corrupt Rot God will also use a laser attack that makes meteors rain down on the arena. To counter each move, Kena should either use her shield or dodge at the right moment to avoid taking damage.

During the first part of the fight, players will need to focus on shooting the glowing rot on the boss’ body. There will be several spots to shoot, but two or three charged arrows with the Spirit Bow to each spot should do the trick. Kena will then need to fight the enemies that spawn in and head to the next area.

There will be more of the boss’ minions, including a miniboss, in the next part of the fight. Kena will need to defeat them and enter through the archway to get back to the Corrupt Rot God. She will need to repeat the process from the first part of the fight by taking out all the glowing masses. In the area that follows, players will need to complete a difficult platforming challenge to reach the final portal. Kena can jump and use flowers to traverse the floating rocks and get to the top. She should then enter the last portal for a final confrontation with the Corrupt Rot God.

The last part of the fight will be the most difficult. Other enemies will be running around the arena, and the boss will have a new move that causes meteors to rain down. When the Corrupt Rot God charges up its lasers to trigger the meteor attack, players will need to interact with the gold, glowing spears on its back and pull them out. Doing this three times will make the boss collapse, leaving Kena open to deliver the final blow and finish the game.
