This Key & Peele Valets sketch finds the excitable duo recapping Game Of Thrones’ many, many shocking deaths in a remarkably lighthearted way. For five seasons, Key & Peele delivered sketch after sketch of comic gold. Be it the hilarious and vaguely creepy “Continental Breakfast” or the classic Gremlins 2 pitch meeting skit that basically just recounted how outlandish the sequel truly is, the show earned its spot in the comic hall of fame.

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordon Peele later worked on 2016 comedy Keanu and Toy Story 4 together, but they’ve since gone separate ways. Key continued to steal the show in the likes of The Predator and Friends From College  while Jordan Peele suddenly became one of the great new auteurs of the horror genre. His directorial debut Get Out became an instant classic in 2017, while 2019’s Us was another smash hit. He’s also producing the upcoming Candyman legacy sequel and the new version The Twilight Zone, where he also acts as the host.

Key & Peele had a few recurring characters like uber-nerd Wendell or Key’s angry teacher Mr. Garvey, but The Valets might be their most famous recurring skit, with the hyperactive duo often pouring over pop culture or the works of “Liam Neesons” or “Bruce Willy” of Die Hard fame. In season 5 the “Valets Game Of Thrones Recap” saw them pour over the many demises from the hit HBO show.

Sadly, the Key & Peele Game Of Thrones Recap only covers the show’s first four seasons, and they were ultimately wrong about The Hound’s “death.” Of course, they cover the show in their typical hyperbolical way, starting with Key’s utter shock over the death of “Ned Starks” in season 1, before covering Khal Drogo’s demise – or as they dub him “Big Dave Navarro.” The Valets call The Red Wedding a four for one special, while the season 4 exits of both Ygritte and Tywin Lannister – the latter famously during a toilet break – lets Key and Peele test out their British accents.

The Key & Peele Valets recap of Game Of Thrones comes to a close with no end of praise for Peter Dinklage, before both men dive through a Moon Door that suddenly opens in the ground. It would have been nice to see this sketch updated following the end of Game Of Thrones to see what the Valets thought of the finale – although they may have been as disappointed as most fans appeared to be.
