Kim Kardashian from Keeping Up With The Kardashians still considers estranged husband Kanye West a good father despite their tumultuous relationship. Kim filed for divorce from the rapper in February 2021 after more than seven years of marriage and fourth children together. At first, Kim and Kanye were not only co-parenting without any issues, but they were even spotted hanging out together on several occasions without their children. However, their relationship dynamic quickly changed when Kim began dating.

In October 2021, Kim was spotted at an amusement park in Los Angeles with Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson. Kim had recently hosted SNL and did a skit where she and Pete had to kiss. While reps for the pair denied the relationship rumors, Kim was spotted weeks later in Pete’s hometown of Staten Island. After they had been seen out together on more than one occasion, Kim and Pete confirmed they were officially dating. Not too long after they started dating, Kanye began a relationship with Julia Fox.

During Kim’s cover interview with Vogue Magazine, the reality star revealed that she is Kanye’s “biggest cheerleader” in front of their kids: North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Pslam, two. “You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be ‘Your dad’s the best,’” Kim said of co-parenting with her rapper soon-to-be ex-husband. The 41-year-old believes it’s important for her to lift up Kanye as a dad no matter what they are going through personally. Kim, who revealed why she left Kanye, wants her children to know that their father is the best even though the pair have been going through some issues that are now playing out in the media.

Kim’s comment about Kanye’s parenting come a week after the 44-year-old criticized the SKIMS founders on Instagram for allowing their daughter North to post content to TikTok against his will. Hours after Kanye made the post, Kim responded on her Instagram Stories, slamming Kanye’s “constant attacks” on her and assuring she is supervising their daughter’s social media use. Kim called Kanye’s attacks more hurtful than North’s TikTok account as Kim knows making those silly TikTok videos allows North to express her creativity. The divorce has been difficult enough for their family, and Kanye trying to “control and manipulate” their situation is only “causing further pain.” Ultimately, Kim wants to handle their situation with their kids privately and wants to solve their issues amicably with the third attorney he’s had for the past year.

Overall, Kim will always speak highly of Kanye in front of the four kids, no matter what. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum and the rapper will always be family, and Kim would never do anything to jeopardize his relationship with their kids. Hopefully, Kim and Kanye will come to some type of resolution in the future.
