In 2016, Kim’s Convenience released its first season, introducing us to the Kim family. Appa and Umma run their own convenience store in Toronto’s Moss Park neighborhood with the help of their daughter Janet, while their son Jung works at a nearby car rental company. The comedy is a hit with families and just released its fourth season on CBC Television and Netflix.

10 Lord Of The Ring: Season Three, Episode 13 (7.6)

In the episode “Lord Of The Ring,” Umma loses her ring at church and Appa finds it without telling her. He practically guilt trips her throughout the episode until she admits to losing it. But when she finds out Appa had it the whole time, he realizes that he also lost it and had to replace it with a nicer ring. Over in Janet and Jung’s world, Janet invites Jung to a yoga class where she’s crushing on the yoga teacher but Jung totally embarrasses her. To make matters even trickier, Janet’s ex-boyfriend breaks up with his fiance, making Janet feel like she has to choose between Raj and her crush, Nathan.

9 Gay Discount: Season One, Episode One (7.6)

The pilot episode was given a 7.6 by fans. In it, we meet all the leading characters and are shown some cultural differences between the Kims and the rest of the neighborhood.

It’s Toronto Pride Week and Mr. Kim is accused of not being accepting of gay culture. To prove that he cares for everyone, he gives all gay people a discount from his store. The problem is, he has a hard time determining who’s gay and who isn’t…

8 Janet’s Photos: Season One, Episode Two (7.6)

In the first season, we learn more about Janet and her study of photography. She’s quite talented and praised by those around her but it inspired her Appa to start taking pictures too to see who the better photographer was. Janet’s annoyed by her father’s sudden interest in photography and the two go head to head.

Meanwhile, Jung applies for a managerial position at Handy, which upsets his best buddy Kimchee.

7 Silent Auction: Season Two, Episode Eight (7.5)

In “Silent Auction,” Umma has her heart set on a mink coat someone was donating to the church’s silent auction. Umma and Appa take turns wearing the coat in the refrigerator at the convenience store but their fun is ruined when they wreck the mink.

They then need to try and showcase the coat at the church without people realizing it’s been ruined. Meanwhile, Jung had to have an uncomfortable conversation with Shannon over professionalism.

6 Birds Of A Feather: Season Four, Episode 11 (7.4)

In “Birds Of A Feather,” a bird runs into Jung’s window and becomes injured. Shannon and Jung take it upon themselves to nurse the bird back to health but they both become attached to the little guy.

Over at Janet’s apartment, she’s annoyed when Chelsea takes her idea to teach English in Korea because it was her idea. Their argument causes a major rift between them and Gerald.

5 Bon Vonage: Season Four, Episode 13 (7.4)

The season four finale had a bunch of twists and turns. Janet got a job as an actual photographer in Africa for four months. Her parents become upset at the thought of their only daughter going away for four months but allow her to go. In a weird turn of events, Janet and Gerald share a kiss as he’s gearing up to go to Korea for the summer and she’s heading to Africa.

Meanwhile, Jung gets confused when Shannon is looking for a roommate and implies him moving in. The season ended in a bang but viewers will have to wait to see what happens in the fifth season.

4 The Trollop: Season Four, Episode One (7.3)

At the beginning of the fourth season, Janet is tormented between two men: Raj and Nathan. Raj called off his engagement because he still loved Janet but Janet had just started dating her yoga teacher, Nathan. She decides to stick it out with Nathan but things get tricky when they go to Raj’s stag party. Janet drinks too much whiskey and confuses not only herself but both men. But it wasn’t just Janet who was still processing Raj’s broken engagement, it was Janet’s parents too. Mrs. Kim bought a very expensive dress for the occasion and Mr. Kim tried to return it.

3 The Help: Season Four, Episode Three (7.2)

Things get weird in “The Help” when a big-time donor thinks Janet’s mother is a waitress at one of the university’s art shows. Janet is offended and tries to get justice for her mother, while unknowingly taking home the top prize. But in a moment fans were waiting for, Shannon finally broke up with Alejandro!

Instead of moving on too quickly with Jung, she put boundaries in place but that didn’t work out too well because these two couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

2 Thinkin’ About Inkin’: Season Four, Episode Five (7.2)

In the fourth season’s “Thinkin’ About Inkin’,” Janet helps her ex Nathan out with some homework and gets inspired after seeing his tattoo. She decides to get a word in Sanskrit on her lower back but it becomes infected and she soon needs Raj’s help to make it better. While Janet is worried about her secret tattoo, Jung and Shannon are celebrating their five-week anniversary. Jung becomes paralyzed when Shannon gives him a gift, so he gives her the necklace Kimchee was planning on giving his girlfriend. The problem is, the necklace cost over $1,000 and her gift was a silly toy car…

1 The Neighbor’s WiFi: Season Three, Episode Four (7.2)

Ah, the lowest-ranking episode from Kims Convenience was “The Neighbor’s WiFi.” In this episode, Appa is too cheap to buy a better WiFi package, so he tries to steal it from his neighbor throughout the episode.

Over at Handy, Jung asks Shannon if it’s okay if he asks out her friend Katie. Jung was still dating Alejandro but she appeared jealous at the thought of her long-time crush and best friend hooking up.
