Madelyn Cline, star of the upcoming Knives Out 2 gives her opinion of working on the upcoming sequel. Cline, who is perhaps best known for playing Sarah Cameron on the Netflix drama Outer Banks, was also featured in the second season of the hit supernatural series Stranger Things. Earlier this year it was announced that the 23-year-old actress would also be joining the all-star cast of Rian Johnson’s mystery sequel alongside the likes of Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Ethan Hawke, Jessica Henwick, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (via Collider), Cline opened up about her latest opportunity to work alongside a collection of some of Hollywood’s biggest names. The actress described her experience as both terrifying and incredible. Check out what she had to say below:

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

I’m in Europe, and I’m filming the sequel to Knives Out, and I’m very, very excited about it. I’m just going to be completely honest with you, it’s the most mind-blowing, terrifying experience ever. You know how you have moments in life where you just look around, and you look at life, and you’re like, ‘How in the s**t did I get here’. I feel very lucky, but I walk onto set everyday and it feels like a miniature existential crisis, because I’m working with people I’ve looked up to for my entire life. And now I’m getting to work alongside them, and they’re phenomenal people, but it’s a bit of a… It’s terrifying, but it’s also incredible. It’s super-amazing; it’s the experience of a lifetime.

Following the massive success of The Last Jedi director’s first murder mystery, which introduced Daniel Craig as the private detective Benoit Blanc, Netflix swooped in to pick up the rights for two more sequels in a massive $469 million deal. While none of the Thrombey family featured in the first film are set to return in the new film, Craig’s sleuth is set to encounter a whole new cast of eccentric murder suspects, including Cline.

Given the tremendous star power behind Johnson’s latest murder mystery, it is not surprising that Cline may feel a little overwhelmed by her new co-stars. While still young herself, Cline has already been acting for 10 years, making her first film debut at 13 years old in the 2011 thriller 23rd Psalm: Redemption. There’s no doubt Johnson would not have cast her if he did not feel she was capable of holding her own against her more well-known co-stars, and she is certain to bring her talents to bear in the highly anticipated sequel. Although Knives Out 2 does not yet have an official release date, it is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2022.
