E! will air a one-hour birthday special episode to celebrate Kim Kardashian West’s 40th birthday on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. When KUWTK premiered in 2007, Kim Kardashian was just 26 years old. Now, 14 years and a built empire later, Kim is getting ready to say goodbye to her thirties as she begins this next chapter of her life. That is because Kim is turning turn 40 on October 21.

In the last 20 years of her life, Kim Kardashian has created a multi-million dollar company for herself and her family. She has also married Kanye West, with whom she has four beautiful kids. Over the years, the family has proven to the fans that they go above and beyond for every event, particularly for birthdays. In fact, Kanye proposed to Kim during her 33rd birthday. Most recently, Kim had planned to have a “Wild, Wild West” themed party to celebrate her 40s, but she has reportedly canceled the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, E! is finding a way to celebrate Kim’s big day.

According to E!, the network will be celebrating Kim Kardashian’s birthday all day long on Wednesday, October 21. The day-long festivities will begin at noon with a 10-hour long Keeping Up With the Kardashians marathon. The episodes will range from the early to seasons to the most recent episodes, highlighting all of Kim’s most memorable moments. As such, the fans will be able to reminisce on the first time they saw Kim’s iconic “crying face” or her infamous selfies on the way to take her sister Khloe to jail. One can also never forget the disastrous moment when she lost her diamond earrings in the ocean. Furthermore, the marathon will include life milestones such as her wedding with Kanye West, the birth of her four children, and all of the drama she has dealt with in between. Throughout the episodes, Kim’s family members and friends will be sending her birthday wishes. The videos will include messages from her sisters, momager Kris Jenner, and former brother-in-law Scott Disick.

When this marathon concludes at 10 pm, Keeping Up With the Kardashians will air a brand new episode titled “Kim’s 40th Birthday Special.” According to E!, this hour-long special will consist of relatives and friends celebrating and honoring Kim Kardashian. For instance, the family will reminisce on their ultimate Kim memories. As if the marathon and birthday special were not enough, the network will be doing even more to celebrate Kim over the years. The episodes of Daily Pop and Nightly Pop that will air on Wednesday, October 21 and on Thursday, October 22 will consist of “special tributes and segments celebrating Kim’s 40th birthday.”  Then, the birthday special will re-air during the show’s normal time slot on Thursday night.

Even though Kim’s original plans to throw a big 40th birthday bash got taken away from her, it seems as though her home network is doing everything they can to make it special for her. As Kim begins this new chapter of her life, it will be interesting to see what business moves she has up her sleeve. Fans not only get to look forward to celebrating Kim on her birthday, but they also get a new episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians a day early.
