KUWTK: What to Know About O.T. Genasis, Malika Haqq’s Baby Daddy

Keeping Up with the Kardashians regular (and Khloé’s bestie) Malika Haqq celebrated her babymoon on the latest episode. Malika had announced her pregnancy in September 2019 but had kept the baby daddy’s name a secret. However, during her lavish baby shower, Malika revealed that ex O.T. Genasis was the father, by referring to him by his legal name, Odis Oliver Flores. On KUWTK, Malika got candid with Khloe and sister Khadijah Haqq about O.T. allegedly flirting with other women via DM.

During the KUTWK episode, Malika, 37, confessed to receiving a message from one of her followers about O.T flirting with another woman over DM. “Not my man, not my problem,” Malika was seen telling Khloé, adding that she didn’t really want to deal with what people have to say about OT. Soon after the incident, Malika had taken to IG stories to ask her followers, “please stop sending me my ex’s news” and to confirm that she’s “single.” The Celebrity Big Brother alum was first romantically linked with O.T. in November 2017, after she broke up with Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. Malika had opened up about dating the rapper for two and a half years in an on-and-off relationship, and had announced her break-up in June 2019, by posting a picture of herself captioned, “single.” The KUWTK alum’s break-up was supposed to have been “amicable” and “on good terms,” which Malika confirmed by telling Khloé that she had confronted O.T. about the DM. “Please don’t play yourself, you’re gonna end up on a blog playing with these h*es. She’s cute though, lol,” Malika said she wrote to O.T., but he denied everything, saying he doesn’t “talk to b*tches that wear pink hair.”

O.T., with whom the Kardashian bestie co-parents baby Ace Flores, who was born on 14 March 2020, is a multi-platinum Long-Beach-born rapper and songwriter. O.T, 33, is Garifuna American and is said to have a sharp sense of humor. He is giving the game “a whole new spirit with one quotable line after another,” as per his bio at Atlantic Records. O.T.’s own website features his recollections of his early days, when he was learning how to navigate his hometown’s notorious streets. He was even getting lured by the underworld lifestyle at one point. “I saw a lot of followers get killed. Music definitely saved me,” adds O.T. With a name inspired by “the idea of a new beginning,” O.T. Genasis was influenced by legends like Snoop Dogg, Tupac, and Jay-Z. He kickstarted his career by the age of 19. O.T.’s struggling days were over when his hustle was eventually spotted by music mogul 50 Cent in 2011. 50 Cent signed him for the track, “Jackie Chan.”

Soon enough, O.T. had a new release called “Touchdown” and the iconic rap legend Busta Rhymes signed a deal with the versatile artist for his “seek-and-destroy mission” every time he’s on the mic. O.T.’s track “CoCo” got crowned as the “hottest song in the streets and the clubs” by DJs such as Funkmaster Flex, Felli Fel, and Khaled. It became a viral sensation with over 60 million views on YouTube. Capturing #5 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and vaulting into the Top 20 of the Hot 100, “CoCo” was followed by O.T.’s other songs “Big Shot,” “When I Get It” and the 2020 track “I Look Good.” Malika’s ex’s latest collab is with Chris Brown and Charlie Wilson and it is called “Back To You”. It’s an upbeat track with O.T.’s relaxed approach and the others’ rich, soulful melodies.

On the personal front, O.T. is also a proud father to another son, Genasis, who is 10. The multi-talented artist who has 1.3 million Instagram followers, is often seen sharing sweet father-son moments with both Genasis and baby Ace on his feed. On Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe had commented about co-parenting being “a really long journey,” but she also noted that in spite of the ups and downs, she’d appreciated O.T. coming to the baby shower to make Malika “feel really good about everything.” While both Malika and Ace are no longer together, giving their baby a happy and loving environment to grow up in is their top priority.
