As Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kendall Jenner’s romance heats up with Devin Booker, fans are becoming more interested than ever in the basketball star’s family and dating history. The reality TV personality and the two-time NBA All-Star basketball player have been getting more serious this year after rumors of their relationship first began circulating last summer.

Kendall and Devin made their relationship Instagram official on Valentine’s Day 2021 by sharing several adorable photos together. Kendall then confirmed the relationship on the KUWTK Reunion, telling Andy Cohen when he asked her about Devin, “He’s my boyfriend.” Since then, Kendall, 25, and Devin, 24, recently celebrated their first anniversary and have been making their relationship more public.

Devin was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Veronica, a cosmetologist, and Melvin, a basketball player (via Showbiz Cheat Sheet). Melvin played at the University of Missouri before playing professionally for several teams both in the US and overseas. Devin is close with both of his parents, stating that his favorite childhood memories are cooking Mexican dishes with his mother. He has often expressed pride in his Hispanic heritage, saying he hopes to represent his Mexican background and encourage young children of all nationalities to pursue their love for basketball. His father has also played an integral part in Devin’s life by coaching and mentoring his son during his high school years. “He made me go the extra mile. He pushed me. I had never been pushed before,” Devin told The Undefeated. The hard work from father and son clearly paid off with Devin’s successful career.

Devin also has two half-siblings – older brother Davon Wade and a younger sister, Mya Powell. Mya has 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, a disorder that is caused when a small part of chromosome 22 is missing. Devin’s love for his sister is the inspiration behind his participation as a Special Olympics Ambassador. Devin was named a global ambassador for the organization in 2020. “[Mya] motivates me every day, and I’m humbled to be part of the Special Olympics,” he said in a press release. Unfortunately, the press hasn’t been all positive for Devin. A news story from Black Sports Online was released in 2019 speculating that he was the father of pregnant model Aaleeyah Petty’s baby while also fathering the baby of his high school sweetheart, who happened to be expecting at the same time. These allegations proved to be false, however, and the father of Aaleeyah’s baby was eventually revealed to be Brandon Ingram, a basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans.

All of these rumors also occurred while Devin was allegedly dating Jordyn Woods, perhaps best known as Kylie Jenner’s ex-best friend. Ironically, Devin and Jordyn were first linked together in 2018 when they appeared to be on a double date with Kendall and then-boyfriend, Ben Simmons. Jordyn and Devin did not officially announce they were together, but whatever relationship they may have had apparently ended before the Tristan Thompson scandal that rocked the Kardashian/Jenner clan in 2019.

Devin Booker is not only an outstanding basketball player, but he also appears to be a great guy off the court. He clearly loves his family, as well as giving back through his work with the Special Olympics. Now that he and Kendall have been making their relationship more public, Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans are more excited than ever for the couple’s future together.
