For years, fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians considered Kourtney Kardashian to be the rudest member of the family. The mother of three is often short with friends, family, and even strangers. Sometimes, Kourtney’s behavior tends to come off like she is better than everyone else. Kourtney isn’t an inherently mean person, but she isn’t afraid to speak her mind, even if it may hurt someone’s feelings.

When viewers met Kourtney for the first time in 2007 on season one of the E! reality series, the eldest sibling was known for being brutally honest and always speaking her mind. Kourtney has never shied away from her truth, even if she knew it could potentially hurt the other person. Her lack of sensitivity has flown under the radar for the past 13 years, but viewers are starting to notice Kourtney isn’t the voice of reason they thought she was.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

In one episode of KUWTK, Kourtney and her sister, Kim, discuss the way she spoke to her nanny in public. Kim explained to the 42-year-old that her caregiver felt degraded and began to cry after Kourtney yelled at her in a public space. Kourtney insisted the nanny was lying and actually accused her of yelling. She also claimed the nanny called her youngest son, Reign, a liar. The short clip is only the most recent instance fans noticed of Kourtney’s rude behavior. In the past, the reality star has been known to be belittling towards her family members. When Kim lost her earring in the ocean while vacationing in Bora Bora, she quickly reminded Kim there are more important things to worry about, such as “people […] dying.”

Kourtney has belittled her family members’ feelings more than once on the show. Fans on Reddit noticed a few seasons prior, her younger sister, Kendall Jenner, ranted about Kourtney’s rude behavior to their sister, Khloé. Kendall wasn’t pleased with how Kourtney treated her personal property and how she spoke to her in front of her friends. Kourtney allegedly put her muddy feet on the middle console of Kendall’s car, which Kendall then asked her to move. Kourtney told her to calm down, as it was just a vehicle. In another scenario, Kourtney took a key from her sister, who later asked Kourtney to put it away in a zippered pocket. Kourtney took this opportunity to humiliate Kendall in front of her friends by telling her to “chill the f*ck out.” Her actions hurt Kendall, who felt Kourtney puts her down to look cool.

Even though Kourtney is a fabulous mom, a great sister, and a good friend, she sometimes doesn’t realize how hurtful her actions can be. It seems, in Kourtney’s mind, she is just being honest and speaking her truth. But in reality, it comes off as rude and belittling. Kourtney isn’t a horrible person, but she does lacks the sensitivity of others and will try to play off her bad behavior.
