Kim Kardashian set high hopes for herself when she made the decision to become a lawyer. However, when considering the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s high profile celebrity status and education level, fans are debating how strong her chances are of becoming a licensed attorney. She hopes to follow in her late father’s footsteps and become a lawyer to continue Kim’s advocacy work in prison reform. Is this a realistic dream?

Over the last few years, the KKW Beauty founder has made a drastic career shift as she started using her platform to protest in defense of the less fortunate who end up behind bars. She’s worked with politicians and the Trump administration to help exonerate a number of formerly convicted felons. As Kim’s passion for the work grew, so did her interest in being able to defend some of her clients in court. Back in April 2019, she announced she was one year into a four-year program to become a lawyer. “For the next 4 years, a minimum of 18 hours a week is required. I will take written and multiple-choice tests monthly,” Kim Kardashian explained in a lengthy Instagram caption.

But Kim recently opened up about failing the mini-bar exam, despite how hard she studied for the test. “If you are doing law school the way I’m doing it, it is a four-year program instead of your typical three-year program,” Kim told E! News. She continued saying, “And after year one, you have to take the baby bar. This would actually [be] harder, I hear than the official bar.” She expressed her disappointment in failing the mandated test needed to continue her studies. However, she’s going for a degree that most obtain after at least receiving their undergraduate degree.

Kim did attend Pierce College for a few years, but she never graduated, The Sun reports. Not only is she hoping to achieve something that might be considered impossible by many in the field, but Kim is doing so while under the public eye. As an international superstar, mother of four, and owner of two major brands, Kim has more than enough on her plate. Taking so much time out of her day to study can prove to be difficult when trying to manage everything else in her life. Not to forget, she’s also going through a divorce from Kanye West that can be a horrible distraction when trying to focus on studying.

With no college degree, four young children that need to be watched all day, and a busy life as an entrepreneur, it’s possible that the KUWTK star’s dream of becoming a lawyer might not be that realistic. But when you’re a billionaire, you have the opportunity to try and achieve whatever you want. The SKIMS founder appears determined to prove the doubters wrong and make the Kardashian’s late father proud. She’ll just have to study even harder this next time around.
