KUWTK: Why Kourtney Wouldn’t Marry Scott But Said Yes To Travis

There are many reasons why Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum Kourtney Kardashian said yes to Travis Barker’s proposal but never married her ex, Scott Disick. During the beginning stages of Kourtney and Scott’s romance, the relationship already seemed unstable and unhealthy. While Scott and Kourtney tried to elope in one episode from the early KUWTK seasons, they broke up for a short period of time before getting back together.

They reunited after Kourtney, who is filming her family’s Hulu show, discovered she was pregnant with their first son, Mason Disick. However, the couple was on and off again for a number of years until they officially broke up in July 2015. Eight years later, Kourtney finally pulled the trigger on their relationship after Scott was seen partying on a yacht with his ex-girlfriend, Chloe Bartoli. Travis and Kourtney, who teased life plans together before Travis proposed, have been able to develop a friendship since she moved in next door to him almost six years ago. Being so close to each other has allowed them to develop an unbreakable friendship, which bodes well for a happy marriage.

Overall, Kourtney never wanted to marry Scott because she knew he wasn’t a reliable partner. She needs someone who will show her affection, someone she can trust, and someone she can call her best friend. While it seemed like Scott was that person for many years, Travis was the one who ticked all of her boxes. Finally, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum has finally found someone she trusts enough to marry.
