KUWTK: Why Rob Kardashian Returned To The Spotlight In 2020

In 2020, Rob Kardashian returned to the spotlight after a long period of keeping to himself. He made more public appearances, revitalized his online presence, and appeared on the new season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. It seems 2020 was a year of change for Rob, and we’re happy to see it. 

Over the last decade, Rob Kardashian has stayed out of the spotlight. He’s known to be quite camera shy, particularly following his relationship with Blac Chyna and struggles with weight gain. This year, Rob made a lot of alterations in his life, and fans are elated to see the positive changes happen right in front of them. He returned to KUWTK, became more present on social media, took control of his health, and became a stronger father figure to his daughter, Dream Kardashian. “I love that he’s getting a positive response because it’s just gassing him up more. It makes him feel really good and confident,” Khloé Kardashian said. “That’s all I want for my brother, is to feel good about himself.” So, why did Rob return to the spotlight this year? 

All of the publicly-visible changes Rob made in his life began during Khloé’s 36th birthday. As fans of KUWTK know, Rob and Khloé have a deep bond that was portrayed in the earlier seasons of the reality series. “Him and I have always been so incredibly close,” Khloé said, according to E! Online. “He’s at things a lot, we just always respect his privacy. And he just, I don’t know, was feeling himself as he should at my birthday. He was fine with us posting a flick of him.” A source also said, “Rob has been thriving during quarantine,” following a series of selfies he posted on social media around the same time as Khloé’s birthday. “He’s doing great and is in a good headspace… He is loving spending time with Dream and entertaining her with activities… Rob’s been continuously putting effort into his health and wellness and is happier than ever,” the insider added. 

After Khloé’s birthday, Rob’s presence online and in the media has remained steady. In addition to Khloé, other members of the Kardashian-Jenner family have expressed how proud they are of Rob. Kris Jenner regularly comments on the fact that her son is an amazing father. “He’s such a great dad and you never know – you have kids, they grow up, they have their kids – and you don’t know how somebody is going to be as a parent, but he’s just…. Wow,” Kris said. “He really is amazing.” 

Rob clearly put a lot of effort into making positive changes in his life this year. There is definitely a correlation between the coronavirus pandemic and Kardashian’s life changes, as the insider confirmed. Perhaps Rob was jolted awake by this global crisis and realized he needs to make a change now, otherwise he’ll be set in his ways forever.
