Recent leaks have claimed that League of Legends is releasing a new skin that could cost players $130 to obtain. Even though it was released over 10 years ago, LoL is still one of the most popular online games in the world, with over 100,000 people playing the game on a monthly basis.  Netflix’s Arcane: League of Legends series only helped bring in many new and returning players ever since it was released late last year, while new League of Legends champions help to keep the game fresh, and ensure fans have something exciting to delve into.

League of Legends developer and publisher Riot Games has rolled out a whole plethora of characters and optional skins for them in the game ever since it was launched. The champion skins that have been released for the game have ranged from ones that are more comedic, such as Teemo’s popular Cottontail skin, to others that include an entire backstory to them, such as the skins released for the game’s Ruined King saga. However, even though there are now over 1,300 skins available in the game, it seems one League of Legends character has been forgotten when it comes to the number of skins available.

League of Legends leaker Big Bad Bear (via Dexerto) claimed in a recent tweet that Riot Games plans to release a new Eclipse line of skins in patch 12.8, which will apparently include an Eclipse Senna Prestige Edition 2.0 skin that will cost players over 18,000 RP or around $130. To be clear, the alleged new skin will not be available at a flat price but will instead require players to purchase 25 event capsules, which cost around 750 RP each and will total to about 18,750 RP. While the total cost of obtaining the new Senna Prestige skin is pretty high, purchasing all those capsules will also net players other skins through the skin fragments that players obtain from the capsules, which may help balance out the high total cost.

The Essence System launching alongside the upcoming League of Legends Anima Squad skins later this month when patch 12.6 is rolled out could also potentially change the cost or value of new skins moving forward, including the leaked Eclipse Senna Prestige Edition 2.0 skin for patch 12.8. So the leaked information should still be taken with a grain of salt, especially since none of it has been confirmed by Riot Games. It’s still very possible that many of the details will be very different when they’re finally officially announced,

If the leaked League of Legends Eclipse Senna Prestige Edition 2.0 skin ends up costing $130 to obtain, it’s going to be tough for at least a few fans of the character to get their hands on, which is definitely going to be disappointing. Hopefully, Riot Games either changes the total cost or gives players a more accessible way to obtain the skin if and when it releases.
