Tumblestones are one of the new crafting materials introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. While this isn’t the first time the Pokémon series has toyed with the idea of crafting, it is the first time it’s been handled in this way. The Hisui region contains several massive areas full of Pokémon to discover and capture, but outside of Pokémon, there are also a lot materials like Stardust in Arceus‘ overworld that can be placed in the player’s satchel. This bag has limited space for holding materials, but players can leave them within storage at the camp.

Tumblestones are important materials in Arceus since they are half of what’s needed in order to craft more Poké Balls. It is possible to purchase Poké Balls through the shop in Jubilife Village, but money is a lot more scarce in this entry when compared to others. Combining a Tumblestone with an Apricorn will create a single Poké Ball. Fortunately, the game allows players to craft in bulk to save time. Collecting as many of Arceus’ Tumblestones as possible will make it easier to capture Pokémon down the line.

There are two different ways to obtain Tumblestone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Since it’s a crafting itemit will appear out in the open world, which makes it easier to spot. After cleaning out the tutorial mission, Obsidian Fieldlands will open up. There will be orange rocks around the area that players can interact with. Send out a partner Pokémon and it will break the rock, giving the player the Tumblestone crafting material in Arceus.

Buying & Farming Tumblestone In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Alternatively, players can go to the shop in Jubilife Village and purchase Legends: Arceus’ Tumblestone for 60 Poké dollars. This is the most effective method to get Tumblestone fast, but it requires trainers to spend a lot of cash. After unlocking access to the second main area in the game, trainers can now fast travel using Wyrdeer. It’s recommended to wait until this happens before farming for Tumblestone or other materials. Trainers can mount on Wyrdeer (one of the new Pokemon added in Legends: Arceus) and move around the map at a much faster pace.

Using Wyrdeer, Arceus players can either jump across large gaps or give themselves a temporary boost. Regardless, wait until accessing Wyrdeer to begin farming for Tumblestone, as being able to use Wyrdeer will make it much easier to get around the map and get Tumblestone fast. On the bright side, the player won’t have to get off of Wyrdeer to grab most items. Just get close enough and the interact button will appear. Unfortunately, the player will need to dismount Wyrdeer to send out their own Pokémon to break rocks into smaller collectable pieces. After it breaks the crystal, collect the Tumblestone and ride Wyrdeer to the next one.
