Leverage returns with a revival after almost a decade off the air, but there’s more to come with Leverage: Redemption Part 2. In the revival, the legendary con artists continue their work of fleecing the rich and powerful, getting the team back together after years of going their separate ways.

The team has been through a lot of changes. They are short a mastermind, as Timothy Hutton is not returning as Nate Ford, and they brought on new members Harry Wilson (Noah Wyle), a lawyer who used to help powerful people get away with crimes, and Breanna Casey (Aleyse Shannon), Hardison’s talented foster sister.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The first eight episodes released on IMDbTV on July 8, 2021, but that is only the first half of the season. Leverage: Redemption Part 2 will release later, so there are more adventures of grifter, hitter, hacker, and thief on the way.

Leverage: Redemption Part 2 Release Date Info

While Part 1 released all at once in summer 2021, fans will have to wait until fall 2021 for Leverage: Redemption Part 2. Many shows premiering in 2021 experienced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, pushing release dates back further than originally expected. An exact release date is forthcoming.

Leverage: Redemption Part 2 Story Details

Leverage: Redemption Part 1 led the team on a new series of adventures. Sophie came out of retirement and joined Parker, Eliot, Hardison, and the new members of their crew in pulling cons again. The first eight episodes returned the team to its former glory as they beat a facial recognition system, went up against a fake mastermind, forged a stolen artwork from the Gardner heist, and more.

Leverage: Redemption Part 2 will pick up where they left off, continuing their episodic adventures taking down wealthy and corrupt people who have gotten away with too much. Hardison, who had left after the pilot to continue his international work, is likely to return at some point in Part 2.

The first half of the season also touched upon the motivations and backstories of new team members Harry and Breanna. Given that the crux of the revival is Harry’s redemption from his life as a lawyer for Leverage’s usual marks, the team may deal with more cases with a personal connection to his former career. Breanna’s story has only begun to unfold in Part 1, so upcoming episodes may also involve more cases centering her. Leverage: Redemption has returned with a bang, but the adventure isn’t over yet.
