Lost Ark features a variety of unique ways players can interact with each other, and kneeling with honor using the Respect Emote is a good way to show great admiration for a fellow player. To use Emotes in Lost Ark, players can either use the in-game chat or access the specific action in the Emote menu. Lost Ark fans can open this menu by selecting the Community element in the lower right corner of the HUD or pressing its hotkey, “Y.” Then, they can navigate to the Emote tab to find the desired expressive action. Alternatively, players can easily input whichever emotion they wish to use by typing a “/” followed by the Emote’s name. For example, “/respect” would activate the Respect Emote.

To unlock the Respect Emote in Lost Ark, players must progress through the main campaign and reach Level 50. More specifically, they must complete the final quest of the North Vern storyline, “Ealyn’s Gift.” During this quest, Lost Ark fans must return to Vern Castle and report to Queen Ealyn regarding Sigmund. Naturally, the Queen can be found within her audience room. After discussing the player’s search for the Ark, Ealyn will provide the Respect Emote as a reward.

To reach the “Ealyn’s Gift” quest, Lost Ark’s Steam players should fulfill all the regional questlines until Level 50, including Rethramis, Yudia, West Luterra, East Luterra, Tortoyk, Anikka, and Arthetine. Along with the Respect Emote, fans will also receive 78,000 XP, 258 Roster XP, Guardian Stone Fragment ×90, Harmony Leapstone ×5, Silver ×288, and Harmony Shard ×168.

Unlocking the Respect Emote in Lost Ark

Players should keep in mind that, once they complete “Ealyn’s Gift” and obtain the Respect Emote, they will also acquire the Vern Power Pass Token in their in-game mail. This Power Pass can be used for alt characters to instantly complete the base storyline and reach Level 50. An additional token will be provided once players use the first. Similar to the Respect Emote, the Token will be bound to the character and account upon use.

Once players have spoken to the Queen, they can travel to Shuhire by using the new ship they will receive in North Vern’s Port Krona. Once Shuhire’s questline has been completed, the next region, Rohendel, will become accessible after players have acquired a Gear Score of 400. Lost Ark fans can increase their Item Level by farming Harmony Shards from quests, Guild objectives, and daily instances.
