Lost: The Best Sawyer/Kate Moments

Lost had moments full of mystery, as anything could happen. There were sci-fi elements, such as time travel. It had action, with the entire story starting with a plane crash. And there were also relatable and beautiful relationships between family, friends, survivors, and love interests.

Yes, several couples were featured over the years on this TV show, and one of the most notable duos would be Kate and Sawyer. They were both a little rough around the edges, but they understood one another and had a fiery and flirty connection. Here, listed out below, are their 10 best moments together. 

10 When He Called Her Freckles

Sawyer was known for giving everyone at least one nickname, and right off the bat, he started calling Kate Freckles. She did have this adorable splattering of them across her nose, and those were just some of her gorgeous traits.

While some of his names could be a bit rude and judgemental, this one was just plain cute!

9 When She Looked For Him By The Raft

One time, the survivors thought they could build a raft and send a team out to go get help. Sawyer was one of the ones who was leaving on this craft, and before he left, he and Kate had a bit of a fight; he told everyone that she was a wanted criminal.

Still, these two cared for one another, so as everyone was telling the raft crew bye, Kate looked everywhere for Sawyer… but couldn’t find him. 

8 When They Played A Game

As mentioned, these two really understood each other, and that was made more evident when they played a drinking game together: They took turns drinking after saying phrases like “I’ve never had a one-night stand” and “I never blamed a boar for all my problems”.

On one of his turns, Sawyer said, “I never killed a man.” They both drank. And he said, “Well, looks like we got something in common after all.”

7 When She Admitted Her Love

Next up are some scenes that took place in the bear cages, starting with a heartbreaking one (that at least ended in a sort of romantic way).

One of the bad guys started beating Sawyer up, and he wouldn’t stop until Kate said that she loved Sawyer. He hit Sawyer and asked Kate over and over and over… until she eventually said, “Yes! I love him!! I love him!! Please.”

6 And He Said It Back

That got the man to stop, and after things had settled down a bit, Sawyer asked Kate if she just said that to make the beating stop. Kate was quiet then kissed Sawyer and put her head on his chest.

And then he said, “I love you, too.” It was about time (even though it was evident long before it was said aloud).

5 When He Lied To Protect Her

Later in the cages, Sawyer admitted to Kate that they were on a different island and there was nowhere to run. Kate was upset that he had hid this from her. 

However, being the sweet softie he was, deep down, he told her he had a reason for keeping it a secret: He wanted Kate to believe they at least had a chance. After he said that, Kate cried, kissed Sawyer and hugged him. It was a truly powerful moment. 

4 When He Jumped Out Of A Helicopter

From the beginning, this television show was beyond exciting, and like with many other series, the season finales were always very dramatic; fans had to be left wanting more.

During the last episode of Season 4, there was another notable moment between these two main characters: Sawyer whispered in Kate’s ear, kissed her and jumped out of a helicopter!

3 When He Gave Her A Mixtape

Back in the day, if someone had a crush, they may have made that person a mixtape. Sawyer even gave one to Kate… sort of. It was actually a Phil Collins one he stole from Bernard, but still, this was a very cute scene. It was also one of the ones that proved there was more to Sawyer than shaggy hair, sarcastic replies, and con-man ways.

2 When They Kissed

Jack and Kate. Jack and Juliet. Sawyer and Kate. Sawyer and Juliet. There were some complicated ties on The Island, and these four couples sure brought the drama. 

There was so much buildup, but everyone knew that something romantic would eventually happen. Therefore, Sawyer and Kate’s kisses have made the list!

1 And When They More Than Kissed

Oh, and last but not least, back in the cages… Kate and Sawyer more than kissed. It was one of the most stand-out scenes on the show. And in the midst of dealing with The Others, a smoke monster, being stuck in a strange place, and so on, it was nice to have such a juicy distraction!
