Kristianna Roth and John Miller from Love After Lock-up Season 3 got married in a Native American wedding ceremony immediately following Kristianna’s release from prison. On the way to the halfway house, Kristianna called her mom and told her about the wedding. Her mom was not happy about the marriage and fans don’t blame her! Kristianna was barely a free woman before John proposed to her and immediately swept her off in a pick-up truck, to take her to a makeshift wedding in a field.

Shortly thereafter, John decided he’d better try and win the approval of his mother-in-law, so he decided to take her out for a one-on-one dinner with him. At dinner, John instantly started telling his mother-in-law all about himself and his past history. Not only did Love After Lockup star John have four marriages in his past, but he had been engaged two other times… and couldn’t count all of his children on his ten fingers. His first marriage failed because he ended up marrying his wife’s cousin while he was still married to his first wife! We’ll give credit to John for being open and honest, but Kristianna’s mom’s ‘mama bear’ instincts didn’t seem to pop out until she heard about his interesting criminal history. At that point, viewers could see the disapproving look on her face.

According to Monster & Critics, John told his new mother-in-law about his past incarceration. In his confession, he divulged that he once wrote a bad check for over $30k. It was clear by her expressions and body language that Kristianna’s mom was less than impressed with John. It seemed she had high hopes her daughter would marry someone without a lot of baggage and could support Kristianna.

It’s interesting that Kristianna’s mom had such high hopes for who her daughter would marry, as Kristianna’s past is littered with arrests and convictions. Kristianna from Love After Lockup’s troubles date back to 2003. From then on, she was frequently arrested for a slew of various charges, including prostitution in 2008. We understand that Kristianna’s mom is always going to want the best for her daughter, but given Kristianna’s own past, the number of Kristianna’s quality suiters is likely quite limited.

And it doesn’t end there! It is being reported that Kristianna was picked up in December 2019 for 2nd-degree burglary and was transferred back to prison. This time, she won’t be able to get out of prison until 2023.
