Love During Lockup: Dalton’s Mom Warns Haley About Their Relationship

In an exclusive preview clip for the next episode of Love During Lockup, Haley is suspicious about Dalton’s intentions with her money and confronts his mother, who warns the reality TV star about her son. Haley recently met with her lawyer, who informed her about the possibility of Dalton using her for money to give to another woman. With Haley expecting a fairytale love life with Dalton upon his release, the single mom is frustrated over the possibility of being conned.

Haley is all in with Dalton, despite all the warnings she gets from family and friends. Everyone from her mom, Dalton’s dad and now Dalton’s mom have all warned Haley to slow down with their relationship. But Haley bought a house with the hopes of Dalton moving in with her and her son. Haley has spent thousands from settlement money she received from a car accident towards Dalton. She has put money towards Dalton’s books, paid for a lawyer to help him get out of jail and even bought herself juicy steaks to eat for her unconventional phone dates with Dalton. Haley is clearly all in when it comes to being with Dalton.

But after meeting with her lawyer, who warned her that the $550 Dalton recently asked her for was the exact amount one of his longtime girlfriends needed for a bond, Haley has finally started to get suspicious. In an exclusive clip from WeTV of the next episode of Love During Lockup, Haley sits down with Dalton’s mom, Lisa, to confront her about her son and ask if she’s being used. “Have I literally just been conned?” Haley asks Lisa. Dalton’s mom doesn’t hold back from giving Haley the hard truth about her son. “Those are things that I have tried to get you to think about since the day we met,” Lisa tells Haley. “I was clear to you. Dalton has a habit of setting his sights on a woman while he’s away instead of focusing on what he needs to change, and it has never ended up well.”

Lisa goes on to explain how headstrong Haley was from the start of her relationship with Dalton, despite her warnings. Haley has shown this side of herself when speaking with her own mother, who tried to convince Haley not to allow Dalton to move into the new house she bought with her own money. And Haley has a son that she co-parents with her ex-boyfriend. But Lisa reminds Haley how adamant she was about giving Dalton money and pouring into a long-distance relationship so soon. “You didn’t listen when I kept telling you I did not want you doing that. It wasn’t in either of your best interests,” Lisa says.

During her confessional, Lisa explained how when Dalton is in prison, he tends to lean on women for financial stability. It’s something viewers have seen on Love During Lockup. Many hopeless romantics are often conned by the felons who are looking to support themselves while on the inside. Haley might just be one of the latest victims to get used for money on the show.
