Love During Lockup: Haley Explains Unconventional Date Nights With Dalton

An exclusive clip from Love During Lockup shows how Haley and Dalton enjoy unconventional date nights despite his current incarceration. Haley and Dalton are among the stars on WeTV’s newest Love After Lockup spin-off. This time around, the inmates are still serving out their sentences while being in love with someone on the outside. As the hopeless romantics await their lovers’ release, cameras capture their long-distance relationship dynamic. Haley is among the die-hard girlfriends holding her imprisoned man down in more ways than one.

Haley is holding Dalton down despite how much longer he’ll be behind bars. The couple has a long history that only Haley can remember that dates back to middle school. Haley says Dalton was always the popular kid, and he most likely was since he can’t even remember ever meeting Haley up until they struck a match online. Dalton has an extensive criminal record, with his most recent conviction putting him behind bars for eight years. Dalton was convicted for felony burglary of a building and felony evading arrest, and was sentenced in September 2020 with 295 days credit for time served. His maximum time served release date is until December 3, 2027.

But that hasn’t stopped Haley from shelling out $12,500 to hire a defense lawyer for Dalton. While he awaits the possibility of getting out earlier than 2027, Haley still finds ways to make her man feel special. In an exclusive WeTV clip of Friday’s episode, Haley shares her and Dalton’s weekly date night ritual. “We eat really good food on our date night. Well, I’m eating the really good food and describing it to Dalton,” Haley revealed. Cameras showed her preparing a juicy steak that she planned to eat and tell Dalton how delicious it tastes.

Haley went on to explain why she enjoys her unconventional date nights with her incarcerated beau. “I feel like me doing this for us and our date night does kind of give me a feel of what it will feel like when Dalton comes home,” she said. Haley shared her fantasies of Dalton as a free man living with her so that she can cook for him and watch how he enjoys her meals. “Doing normal things definitely helps make our relationship seem like more of a reality,” Haley explained. She admitted how hard it is keeping the romance alive in her relationship since Dalton is in prison and they can only really interact over the phone. But Haley gave her and Dalton credit for doing what they can to keep things spicy until he’s released.

During the date, Haley detailed to Dalton that she made steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Dalton asked how she made the steak and if it tastes good. Haley described the meal to Dalton and gushed over how good each item tasted. Dalton showed excitement listening to Haley enjoy the meal even though he couldn’t see it. The Love During Lockup couple definitely gets credit for the innovation behind their long-distance date. On the Love After Lockup spin-off, Haley certainly doesn’t look like she plans on bailing on Dalton in the years it could take until he regains his freedom.
