Lauren Speed-Hamilton from Love is Blind has been named the host of a new MTV dating show called Match Me If You Can. She may be the most qualified to host the show as she is one of the very few people who found a lasting relationship on reality television. Lauren and her husband, Cameron, married just a few weeks after meeting each other face-to-face for the first time. They have now been married for less than three years.

Viewers met Lauren for the first time after appearing on Love is Blind. The Netflix dating show quickly became a hit in February 2020, becoming one of the most viewed shows at the time. The series was a dating experiment where a group of men and women would talk to each other behind a wall, never seeing each other’s faces. Lauren and Cameron were married 40 days after they began their journey on the show. Now that almost three years have gone by since they met on reality TV, Lauren and Cameron are the happiest they have ever been.

According to Lauren Speed-Hamilton’s Instagram page, she will be hosting a new reality dating series for MTV named Match Me If You Can. The show will focus on eight singles from different reality shows looking for a second chance to find love. Some of those singles include Eric Bigger and Onyeka Ehie from The Bachelor franchise, Too Hot To Handle’s Harry Jowsey, Love Island USA contestant Kyra Green, and The Circle‘s Joey Sasso. As well as familiar MTV faces such as Ashley Brooke Mitchell and Natalie Negrotti from The Challenge and Are You the One? contestant Kylie Smith. The new series is set to premiere later this month, on April 21.

In an exclusive interview with Elite Daily, Lauren spoke about becoming the host of the new dating series. “Me, having found love myself on reality TV…it was just cool being on the other side, having that perspective…and kind of offering them advice where I can,” she told the publication, adding, “We’re just seeing what happens when you bring these huge personalities together to date each other.” Since the show is in partnership with Pepsi for its new mango flavor, which will be part of its permanent collection, Lauren spoke about how unlikely pairings can sometimes work out. “I think that’s the fun and exciting part about love — that it happens when you least expect it,” she said. “Me and Cam are a surprising match, too. I’m a city girl from Detroit, he’s a country boy from Maine.”

Lauren knows a thing or two about finding love on reality TV in one of the most unconventional ways. She agreed to marry a man before she even knew what he looked like, a leap of faith that clearly worked in her favor. Lauren will make a great sounding board for the contestants, offering them advice when they feel stuck in a situation. MTV could not have picked a better host for Match Me If You Can.
