Genevieve Shawcross revealed that she regrets going on Love Island USA season 3 and is taking some time to “heal” from her experience on reality TV. The fans got to meet Genny during the Casa Amor twist from season 3. From the five new Casa girls, only Leslie Golden and Genny became main islanders on the show. Leslie was brought in by Korey Gandy, whereas Genny was picked by Jeremy Hershberg. Alas, they were both sent home rather quickly.

Following her Love Island elimination, Genevieve Shawcross took to social media a few times to address different things about her experience in the villa. She called Josh Goldstein, Will Moncada, and Charlie Lynch “fake,” slammed the producers for not giving her a favorable edit, and updated the fans on her current friendship with Shannon St Claire and her sister Kylie McIlwain. In hindsight, however, Genny is starting to feel differently about her journey on the show.

Genny recently revealed that she regrets going on Love Island USA and needs some “healing” time. As seen in the screenshots below, Genevieve wrote: “I’m going to take some time to heal by surrounding myself with the people who truly know me and love me and support me.” Later, a fan asked Genny if she regrets going on the show, to which she replied: “Yes but hopefully I won’t one day.” Genevieve has been experiencing a wild ride full of ups and downs since being on the show, and it’s starting to affect her even more now.

Some fans have also noticed that Genevieve has not yet done the traditional exit interview with the After The Island podcast. These fans believe that Genny should use that platform to tell her side of the story. “I know [you] all want it but I want my life and my Love Island experience to start being about ME,” Genny started. “I love Shannon and I love her sister (I had 10000 questions asking about them) so I am ready to move on and focus on other things. That whole situation has been so mentally training it’s insane.” Overall, it seems like Genevieve is not having the easiest time since she left the show. Moreover, Shannon recently did her interview with After The Island and shared very wild details about her drama with Genny in the villa.

Hopefully, Genevieve will be able to get the healing time she needs right now. Leaving a reality show, moving to a new city, and looking for job opportunities feel like daunting tasks, but she seems determined to grow in life and do her best.
