Star of Love Island UK  Sam Bird proposed to girlfriend and The Challenge star Kailah Casillas, and she said yes! Kailah made her reality TV debut on MTV’s 2016 season of The Real World: Go Big or Go Home. Following her time on the show, she joined the the cast of The Challenge as a reoccurring competitor. During this past season of The Challenge: Total Madness, Kailah was dating her three-year boyfriend, DJ Mikey P. But she then cheated on him with fellow contestant Stephen Bear before breaking things off for good once she returned home.

Sam Bird was a contestant on Love Island season four for 29 days before being dumped from the island. He didn’t make strong connections in the house, having coupled with three islanders before exiting the show. In January, Sam and Kailah connected on social media after a fan told Kailah that Sam had been flirtatiously stalking her Instagram.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

On August 27, Kailah Casillas posted an Instagram photo geo-tagged to Zákynthos, Zakinthos, Greece announcing her engagement to Sam. She captioned the photo of her showing off her massive ring and bright smile with, “I’m marrying my favorite person in the world.” Sam responded with the comment, “Can’t wait for the rest of our life together.” Since they began dating, Sam’s Instagram was filled with cute photos of them on dates, smooching each other’s cheeks whenever they got the chance. The last time fans saw Kailah on TV, her romantic life was in complete disarray. She was committed to boyfriend DJ Mikey P, but the distance and stress of living in The Challenge house drove her to reconsider and ultimately pursue a fling with Bear. After the season ended, she spent two weeks with Bear in the U.K. before returning home to pack up and divvy her belongings with Mikey P, as reported by Us Weekly.

When Kailah isn’t on screen, she markets herself as an influencer, able to turn her popularity and fan base into a great advertising pool for partnered brands. Sam, on the other hand, works as a DJ and producer, although his shows have been halted due to COVID-19. Despite the cancellation of his shows, he found an opportunity to partner with Kiss FM U.K. for a radio takeover. With Sam in the U.K. and Kailah in the states, it’s unclear where the couple will decide to settle. The Love Island UK alum and Kailah often see each other on trips abroad, but that will have to change once they enter married life.
