The LS35X Wireless Surround Sound Stereo Gaming Headset for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 is comfortable, well made, and easy to set up. While they may come with a price tag that verges towards the high side, these headsets will be a good investment for any Microsoft gamer.

The LS35X Wireless Surround Sound Stereo Gaming Headset offers even the most tech-averse gamer the chance to experience all the trappings of a high-end headset without any of the unnecessary fuss. Setup is a breeze, with an easy three step installation process. Players need to press the two buttons on the headset itself, followed by the connection button on the Xbox that players wish to pair their headset with, and they’re good to go. Once paired with a player’s Xbox, there is no additional configuration support required. Users can go from unboxing the LS35X headset to immersing themselves in gameplay within a matter of minutes.

Once actually within a game, players will be able to enjoy crisp audio thanks to the LS35X’s high fidelity 50mm speakers. The audio is consistently clear throughout gameplay on an Xbox, and no interference of static or any other unwanted background noise came through the headset during the review. The volume is easily adjustable throughout gameplay as well, thanks to the simple mechanic of rotating the left headphone clockwise or anticlockwise.

The game audio to chat balance is just as easy to adjust as the volume on the LS35X. As with the game’s volume controller, the chat mix can be adjusted by rotating the dial set in the right-hand headphone. This will allow users to enable in-game immersion, while never losing the train of conversation with their fellow teammates (unless, of course, they want to).

As for the mic on the LS35X, gamers can choose to attach it or remove it at will, depending on what gameplay experience any individual is after. A port cover is provided for when the mic is disconnected, preserving the integrity of the port itself. Meanwhile, when connected, the mic provides a seamless connection with fellow players. At no point during the test for this review did Screen Rant feel the need to adjust their own vocals to accommodate the mic.

A simple push on the right-hand headset will allow players to efficiently mute the mic on their LS35X at any given moment, and a red light will display on the mic itself alerting the user to when they are on mute. By pushing the right headset again, the mic will unmute at once, avoiding any lag in reconnection.

The LS35X headset is lightweight and incredibly comfortable. Even when worn for an extended period of time, the headset never became burdensome to the player. The inclusion of memory foam within the LS35X’s earcups allowed for the headset to stay in one place for the duration of gameplay, without the unwelcome signs of pinching or slipping that can often be experienced with cheaper headsets.

However, one area that the LS35X does lack is accessories. While a USB cable and mobile 3.5mm cable are both included with the headset, there is no where to store them or the mic when they are not in use. Similarly, when the headset itself is not in use, players will need to find their own method of storing it to preserve its integrity. However, given how exemplary the LS35X is in all other aspects, this really is a small issue in the grand scheme of things, and the LS35X Wireless Surround Sound Stereo Gaming Headset is an excellent choice for Xbox owners looking to upgrade their setup and get the most out of their spending.

The LS35X Wireless Surround Sound Stereo Gaming Headset for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 is available now for $129.99. A headset was provided by Lucid Sound for the purpose of this review.
