Besides Lucifer Morningstar’s (Tom Ellis) charming personality, his wits, and devilish smile, he also happens to be a snazzy dresser. Why shouldn’t the Devil always look good? Throughout all the seasons of Lucifer, he has had more than his fair share of dazzling ensembles. Rarely ever seen in anything but a perfectly tailored three-piece suit from an expensive brand, he never left the house looking anything but 100% presentable. The Lucifer suits have become somewhat iconic, in fact. What brand of suits does Lucifer wear? He doesn’t really say, but it’s clear they are expensive, and definitely not made of polyester.

Even Lucifer outdoes himself sometimes in certain outfits and Lucifer dress style approaches that pop on screen. Some Lucifer outfits leave little to the imagination while others go all out and break from his traditional three-piece suit. Whether Lucifer is delivering one of his most emotional quotes or a funny or sarcastic one, he’s oftentimes the best dressed in any room he’s in. With that said, there were a few times when Lucifer sported different looks, both in terms of clothing and masks.

Updated on August 27th, 2021 by Christine Persaud: While Lucifer is gearing up for the launch of its sixth and final season in September, it’s a perfect time to look back at Lucifer’s many looks over the previous five, with lots of new looks from the final few episodes that are worth including.

18 Going Shirtless

Sure, most of Lucifer’s best looks involved him wearing a three-piece suit with his hair perfectly done. But Lucifer in a pool with his hair wet and slicked back, a drink in hand, is easily one of his best looks.

Not only does it show off his devilish beauty, but it’s also a departure from his usual look, which he wears in almost every episode. It humanizes Lucifer, in a way, which is ironic since he’s anything but human.

17 Going Formal

Even when Lucifer dresses up every day, he still manages to kick things up a notch when attending a formal event. He replaces his usual suit with a black tuxedo, complete with a crisp, white buttoned shirt and a perfectly centered bowtie.

His hair is even slightly more styled while just a half-an-inch of a pocket square peers through his front pocket, ready to offer up to anyone in need. The look is completed with Eve on his arm.

16 Showing Vulnerability

While Lucifer eventually realized that he self-actualizes, like any other angel, thus ending his physical vulnerability when around Chloe, his best look was still when being vulnerable around her.

In this look, his deep love and devotion to Chloe are apparent, transcending any clothing he might be wearing. The look is all about his vulnerability being on full display. It’s evident in his face, posture, and expression that he would do anything for this woman.

15 Double Dan

In one episode, while trying to act more like Dan, Lucifer copies Dan’s outfit as part of his transformation. Along with the hilarity that went with him mimicking Dan’s every move, and mocking him in the process, the look presented a Lucifer that fans hadn’t yet seen.

The hooded leather jacket represents a more casual side while the basic T-shirt that looks like it came in a plastic package completes the look. His hair is still slicked back but styled less like Lucifer and more like, well, Dan.

14 Devil Face

While Lucifer learned that his Devil Face was actually formed based on how he saw himself, it became a part of him. When people like Linda and Chloe began to accept Lucifer with that face, it made it among his best looks because, in a way, it represented an acceptance of his true self while also confirming that the Devil Face didn’t define him.

While the face was horrifying at first glance, and it wasn’t needed in order for Lucifer to use his coolest powers, people close to Lucifer eventually realized that it was still the same Lucifer behind it. And thus, it became less menacing and more the mask that hid the real Lucifer and not the other way around.

13 Ruggedly Handsome On The Beach

Lucifer could be modeling for a resort or a clothing company with both this look and the pose that accompanies it. What truly makes the look is the pop of color from the lilac purple button-down shirt Lucifer is wearing under the suit jacket. The pop of the collar as well makes him seem like a rebel, of sorts.

The brooding expression on his face, piercing eyes, and perfectly maintained facial hair–that sits beautifully between a beard and a 5 ‘o clock shadow–completes the look.

12 Tantalizing In Tan

Fans got so used to seeing Lucifer in black or other dark-colored suits that when he donned this brown/tan suit in a season three episode of the show, it seemed completely out of character. He perfectly pairs it with a ruffled pocket square and greyish/blue-ish button-up shirt.

The way he’s sitting in the chair, legs crossed with his arm outstretched, makes him seem both welcoming and, well, devilish.

11 No Jacket Needed

Sometimes, when Lucifer was deep into a case with Chloe or relaxing back at home or LUX with a drink, he would finally remove the jacket, leaving only his vest and shirt. The shirt sleeves being rolled up perfectly, and the cufflinks removed, gives the look a sense of urgency when combined with the frantic look on his face.

The vest is perfectly fitted, somehow leaving the shirt to fall beautifully, without bunching up or wrinkling at all. It’s Lucifer’s version of “casual.”

10 The Red Eyes

It was like Lucifer’s version of The Hulk: if he got angry, or wanted to let someone know that they shouldn’t mess with him and that they deserved to be punished, his eyes would glow a deep, menacing red.

Any time Lucifer had this look, fans knew that whoever he was facing would cower in the fetal position, terrified at who or what he actually was. But it also meant he was going to protect someone who was innocent, which somehow made it a welcome face and one that fans loved whenever it appeared.

9 White Wings

Lucifer tried so hard to remove his angel wings, cutting them off repeatedly if they returned, hoping they would not grow back. But in the end, his look with the wings was among his best.

They served as a constant reminder that he was actually an angel. He was only sent to rule Hell and punish those who could not deal with their own guilt. Lucifer was never inherently an evil person, and displaying his wings proved that and made him seem even more powerful.

8 Another White Suit

Who knew the Devil could look so good in white? In a season two episode, Lucifer and Chloe are off to a beach house to investigate one of the many on Lucifer. Lucifer needs to blend in with the sunny and bright festivities of the party, hence why he wears an off-white suit and a light blue shirt.

Even Decker makes a remark on his outfit and questions if he’s trying to blend in. Lucifer responds that he doesn’t often have an excuse to break out his linen. Fans certainly wish he would have more often as it perfectly contrasts his dark aura.

7 The Apron And Orgy Pants

There are some episodes that show more of Lucifer’s nudity than usual but they also create some of his best and most comical outfits. One of them is from season 3 when he goes on a party binge. He can’t have his home looking like a wreck so he wears a small and dainty maid’s apron over his boxers while also wearing chainlink armor bottoms.

To up the ante, he later in season four wears “orgy pants.” To which audiences get a good look at his backside in pants that are cut out in the rear. He later goes full nude with Ella at the nudist community.

6 The Leather Jacket

Lucifer wore this jacket in the first season while on a stakeout for a case and felt it was fitting for the role. The bad boy that is Lucifer Morningstar certainly looks good in leather.

The look was simple yet had just the right amount of a rebel vibe. It was strikingly different from what fans had become accustomed to with Lucifer, particularly seeing as this was the first time fans saw him in anything but a suit.

5 That ’70s White Suit

Only Lucifer Morningstar and John Travolta could pull off the iconic white suit from the ’70s. In a season three episode, Lucifer goes back to Earth not realizing that, now that it’s the 2000s, a lot has changed since the ’70s, including the style. Cue music and Lucifer strutting down the street his white suit and a black button-up shirt.

When a female jogger compliments him on the suit, noting her grandfather had one just like it, Lucifer begins to realize he might not be as “in fashion” as he thinks. Even then, Lucifer still dazzles with his looks in the ensemble.

4 His Iconic Suits

Besides his normal suits, Lucifer likes to delve into wearing three-piece ensembles. The three-piece works wonders and adds a different level of sophistication than his usual attire. From vibrant plum purple to dark grey, he has sported just about every elegant color combination there is.

His muted grey-and-grey ensemble reflected his somber mood as he attended yet another therapy session with Dr. Linda to pour his heart out and try to figure out how to solve his problems by once again misinterpreting her guidance.

3 The Cabaret Show

Lucifer really astounded fans with his cabaret showtime look in an episode set in Vegas. He and the charismatic Ella go undercover to investigate a murder in Sin City and it was one of the many times Lucifer was actually a good guy. To weed out the suspect, Lucifer puts on a show. Besides his impeccable voice, his suit also caught people’s attention.

To go with the purple theme, he wore a grey suit with a purple undertone. The material also has a satin finish to pop under the stage lights. It’s also adorned with black lapels, a bowtie, and a pleated dress shirt. Lucifer really does go all out when it’s needed.

2 A Trip Back In Time To 1946

While entertaining Trixie, Lucifer found himself recounting his time back in 1946. This means the height of the gangster era with Tommy guns and cool outfits, so the black and white noir episode had Lucifer adorning a look to match the times.

While viewers can’t tell the color of the outfit, they can tell how good Lucifer looks in it. His outfits do change throughout the episode but his best was a dashing eight-button suit with a patterned tie and hat, typical of the time period. It later changes to a three-piece but with the same details as the first look and with a pocket handkerchief.

1 The Devil In A Red Suit

One of Lucifer’s best looks is his red three-piece suit. This red isn’t vibrant but more maroon, which is fitting for the devil. This is one of the rare occasions where his outfit looks truly devilish. It suits him well and brings out a bit of the bad-boy aura Lucifer has.

He had worn a three-piece before but what’s really eye-catching with this one is the color and material. It almost has a bit of reflection. To make it better, it was paired with a lighter charcoal grey dress shirt and a patterned pocket handkerchief. The Devil is in the details.
