Glorp is the last boss players will face in the Lucky’s Tale VR experience, and the battle has three phases to complete. In order to win the fight and save Lucky’s best friend, Piggy, players will need to perform well-timed jumps and manual throws to dodge Glorp’s attacks and hit each of his eyes. Defeating Glorp in VR can be difficult because a player can only aim by physically moving their head around to look where they want to throw the bombs.

Lucky’s Tale is a cute VR adventure that has players controlling the titular character as he follows a coin trail through various worlds. Lucky is on a mission to save his best friend, Piggy, before he’s eaten by Glorp, and the coins Piggy leaves behind lead the way to Glorp’s Domain. There are three bosses players will face throughout the game, and the last boss battle takes place in the eerie Glorp’s Domain where the main villain has Piggy caged. Players can free Piggy by defeating Glorp in this final battle.

During the fight with Glorp, players will need to dodge his tentacles and pick up the bombs that Piggy sends over to Lucky. The bombs have short fuses, so players need to be quick about getting rid of them. Lucky only has three hearts, so players need to be very careful and dodge as often as possible in order to survive the battle. After completing the three phases of the boss fight with Glorp, Piggy will be rescued and the final chapter of the story will be finished.

Every Phase of Glorp’s Boss Fight in Lucky’s Tale

The first phase of the fight with Glorp in this Lucky’s Tale adventure is fairly simple. Piggy will periodically toss bombs to Lucky. When they land on the platforms, players need to pick them up and toss them at Glorp’s eyes. Glorp will be using a tentacle to smack one platform at a time, but players have some time to get out of the way before the attack lands. After all three eyes are hit, the second phase of the battle will begin.

In the second part of Glorp’s boss battle, the platforms Lucky stands on will shift, and another tentacle will sweep across them so that Lucky needs to jump every few seconds. The tentacle that slams down will also make the platforms smaller. Other than those changes, players can go about finishing this phase the same as the first: collect bombs and throw them at Glorp’s eyes. The third phase has only four platforms that move and are further apart, so players need to double jump to reach them. The sweeping tentacle will still come through, and players will again need to hit all three eyes with bombs.

Once the final phase in the fight with Glorp has been won, players will automatically save Piggy, and he will be returned to Lucky’s care. There’s a short cutscene that plays showing the pair happily reunited. Even though Glorp is the final boss in this adventure, players can still go back to previous levels to collect red coins, find hidden gifts, and complete time trials. With additional content and a few difficult boss fights, including Glorp, players have plenty of fun to experience with Lucky’s Tale.

Lucky’s Tale is available for Valve Index, HTC VIVE, VIVE Pro, VIVE Cosmos, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Quest 2.
