The rebooted series, Magnum P.I., is currently in its fourth season and continues to introduce compelling storylines and characters with them. Audiences remember appearances from celebrities such as Cyndi Lauper and Ken Jeong from the first season, but since then, the show has introduced beloved recurring guest characters, such as Jin.

Intriguing storylines have made other guest appearances memorable on Magnum P.I., including that of Moon Bloodgood, and most fan wouldn’t mind seeing her character appear again. In any case, the show has produced a line-up of unforgettable characters, thus far.

10 Cyndi Lauper (Vanessa)

Lauper plays Vanessa Nero in the season 1 episode “Sudden Death.” Nero is a street smart lawyer with questionable morals, but she’s a friend of Rick’s that does help Magnum get in to see a man arrested for murder.

Vanessa may not be the most honest lawyer, but she is good at reading body language. Lauper’s appearance was brief but memorable. Audiences wouldn’t mind seeing her again, especially if she’s going to help out Magnum with a con or two.

9 Ken Jeong (Luther)

Ken Jeong plays Luther Gillis in one of his best roles, another private investigator on the island that seizes every opportunity to try to upstage Magnum. In “Winner Takes All,” he and Magnum are even dressed alike, and Gillis tries to make a joke. No one laughs at his joke, but they laugh at Magnum’s seconds later, which certainly offends him.

Luther did pass off a case to Magnum in “The Woman Who Never Died,” but he had ulterior motives in wanting Magnum to pay off his poker debt. In any case, Jeong plays a memorable and hilarious Luther, and audiences definitely want to see him and Magnum cross paths again.

8 Corbin Bernsen (Icepick)

Corbin Bernsen plays Icepick, Rick’s father figure that has a criminal past. He does receive an early release from prison, but he fails to tell Rick the real reason why.

Rick is devastated when he ultimately finds out that it’s because Icepick is sick and doesn’t have much time left, but Rick makes the most of it and does eventually get to share an emotional goodbye with the man that he considers a father.

7 William Forsythe (Harry)

William Forsythe is familiar to Hawaii Five-0 fans as Harry Brown. In “A Bullet Named Fate,” Magnum hands off a case to Harry and later feels guilty for it when Harry ends up shot.

Harry is a veteran of the Honolulu Police Department turned private investigator, and so Magnum sets out to find out who shot Harry and why. Harry survives, and his efforts prior to his getting shot led to the reunion of a kidnapped girl and her parents. Harry is a gifted investigator and good guy, and audiences wouldn’t mind seeing him work more cases with Magnum down the line.

6 Moon Bloodgood (Rachel)

Judge Rachel Park has crossed paths with Magnum before, but this time needs his help. Just as she is about to take a new step in her career, someone tries blackmailing her with something from her past that could ruin everything, and there’s a deadline.

Moon Bloodgood’s portrayal was memorable, considering her character had some hard decisions to make and decided to reveal her past herself, instead of letting the blackmailers do it for her. She was gracious to Magnum and Higgins, who did find out who was behind it and why, and audiences wouldn’t mind seeing her appear in future episodes.

5 Roger E. Mosley (John Booky)

Roger E. Mosley, who played T.C. on the original Magnum, P.I., plays John Booky on the reboot. Booky is T.C.’s barber, and he’s definitely not afraid to say what he thinks.

T.C. brings Booky to La Mariana in “The Day Danger Walked In” to hang out with them while a hurricane hits Oahu. He and Booky bicker about Booky’s age and his capabilities, but T.C. is proved wrong when Booky manages to evade being taken hostage and later breaks out T.C., Rick, Magnum, Higgins and Ethan when they need it most.

4 Larry Manetti (Nicky)

Larry Manetti guest-starred as Nicky “The Kid” DeMarco previously on Hawaii Five-0. Not only is he a crossover character from Five-0, but he also played Orville “Rick” Wright on the original Magnum, P.I. series.

Nicky certainly knows his way around a piano, and he’s a fun-loving character that helps Rick out when Rick is first opening the La Mariana bar. Audiences would love to see Larry Manetti return in many future episodes.

3 Jordana Brewster (Hannah)

Prior to the series, Magnum and Hannah were romantically involved while Magnum and his friends were still in the military. When he and his friends ended up captured, Magnum heartbrokenly realized that Hannah was the one who had given them up, but doesn’t find out why until sometime later, when his path crosses with Hannah’s back in Hawaii.

Magnum eventually learns the reasoning behind her betrayal and even helps get her kidnapped father back, but unfortunately, Hannah dies in Magnum’s arms in the process. Hannah’s and Magnum’s chemistry and history are certainly palpable, and Hannah definitely made a complex character.

2 The Hawaii Five-0 Cast

Magnum and Higgins’s case crosses paths with Five-0’s case, and the private investigators pair up with Five-0. Both the Hawaii Five-0 episode and the subsequent Magnum P.I. episode featuring characters from both shows were memorable and audiences certainly remember the hilarious scene of McGarrett enjoying his time behind the wheel of Magnum’s Ferrari.

Higgins noticed right away the romantic tension between Tani and Junior, and later, Magnum and Higgins help Tani and Quinn get Junior back while the rest of Five-0 is detained. Audiences loved seeing the two shows come together, as well as the personalities and dynamics of the characters.

1 Bobby Lee (Jin)

Jin first crossed paths with Magnum and Higgins when he realized one of the phones he’d stolen contained an important warning, and he wanted help in tracking down the phone’s owner. Formerly a thief, Jin has since endeavored to turn his life around into a more honest means of making a living and has become a good friend to Magnum and Higgins, even assisting on cases from time to time.

Bobby Lee is hilarious and has made several appearances, thus far. Jin certainly never misses an opportunity for expanding his new business, and never turns down a date, either!
