After what Angelina (Holly Taylor) did in Manifest, there’s a concern the Lifeboat may already be doomed, but there may still be ways of saving it in season 4. In the Manifest season 3 finale, Angelina completed her evolution into a villain by murdering Grace (Athena Karkanis) and kidnapping both Olive (Luna Blaise) and Eden. The Flight 828 passengers reached an unsettling revelation midway through Manifest season 3 when the Death Date arrived for Pete (Devin Harjes), Kory (DazMann Still), and Jace (James McMenamin).

They understood that for the three to survive, they had to pass a test presented by the Callings and make the morally right choice. Everything they thought about how the Death Date worked changed forever when Pete and Kory did what they were supposed to do, but still died alongside Jace, who made all the wrong decisions. Pete and Kory dying because of his mistakes caused the main characters to develop the Lifeboat Theory, which hinges on the idea that if they all want to live, every passenger has to abide by the Callings and remain on the right path.

Since then, Ben’s goal has been to follow the Callings and stop fellow passengers from endangering them all with their actions. The biggest threat to the Lifeboat now is arguably Angelina, who just killed Ben’s wife. Angelina’s misguided, religious convictions have caused her to take a dark turn. Eagan (Ali Lopez-Sohaili), Adrian (Jared Grimes) and their group certainly aren’t helping either. If these people aren’t stopped, then the Lifeboat could end up sinking before their Death Date ever comes, thus making it impossible to survive. The problem is getting them to stay in line until June 2, 2024, and the passengers may have no other choice but to get Adrian and Eagan to listen to reason.

In the case of Angelina, it may be too late for her. Saanvi (Parveen Khaur) killed the Major but was able to find redemption and reestablish her connection to the Callings, but Angelina may not share the same future. It’s possible that she reached the point-of-no-return when she needlessly murdered Grace. This could cause some moral dilemmas because what it may ultimately mean is that Angelina essentially has to be tossed out of the Lifeboat in Netflix’s Manifest season 4 for it to stay afloat. In other words, she may have to die. This possibility could be what the show was hinting at in a season 3 episode when they saw drawings of Al-Zuras’ ship and some of his crew in the water.

Of course, passengers killing Angelina in Manifest season 4 could result in them inadvertently threatening the Lifeboat. It’s possible that just like Al-Zuras’ crew members, Angelina may have to take the jump herself. The situation could work itself out in a different way, especially if Angelina is killed in the ensuing conflict with the police, who are sure to come after her for killing Grace and kidnapping the children. Either way, Ben and the other passengers have a huge Lifeboat problem on account of Angelina in season 4, and one that could be made even worse if Adrian and Eagan don’t align with them soon.
