Mare Lamentorum Aether Current Locations in FFXIV Endwalker

Mare Lamentorum is one of the most breathtaking zones Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker has to offer, and players can further appreciate its sci-fi aesthetics by unlocking flight via Aether Currents. Similar to every other new area in FFXIV Endwalker, players must find and attune to ten currents, while five additional attunements are tied to quests. In Mare Lamentorum’s case, players must complete four blue side quests and one main story quest in Endwalker.

Some of the Aether Currents in FFXIV Endwalker’s Mare Lamentorum are located on elevated platforms and in underground areas, so players should keep an eye on the z-axis of their coordinates to ensure they are in the correct place to find the orb. Fortunately, the Aether Compass can be helpful for players who would like to know the approximate distance and direction of the nearest Aether Current. However, players will need to keep in mind that the compass has been moved from Key Items to the Collections menu since Endwalker‘s release.

Players can find one of the first Aether Currents in FFXIV Endwalker’s Lamentorum at X: 6.8, Y: 6.8, Z: -1.4. They should use the floating circular platforms on the side of the building to get to the orb. The second current location in FFXIV: Endwalker can be found atop a building southeast of the first at X: 11.8, Y: 9.5, Z: -1.6. The third is located on an elevated surface south of the Bestways Burrow Aetheryte at X: 21.9, Y: 13.7, Z: -1.4. To attune to it, players must jump down from the sloping path above. Next, using one of the teleportation devices, they can go to the Upper Burrows. From the upper platforms, they can head toward the center to X: 22.0, Y: 10.4, Z: -0.5 to find another Aether Current.

Where to Find Mare Lamentorum Aether Currents in FFXIV: Endwalker

FFXIV Players can find the fifth orb on the stairway down to Greatest Endsvale. Instead of going down the main path, they should drop down twice to the left to interact with the current at X: 27.8, Y: 9.5, Z: -1.6. To continue the wind orb hunt in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, players can travel to the far east side of Greatest Endsvale to X: 34.5, Y: 13.3, Z: -1.7. The Aether Current can be found near a wall across a glowing blue surface.

Next, outside the burrows in Northern Mare Lamentorum, players can find another Aether Current on a slope at X: 22.3, Y: 18.1, Z: 1.2. The next orb is hidden within an underground den. The cave’s entrance is located at X: 19.4, Y: 20.4, Z: 0.7, and, once players enter, they can find the current immediately on the left. The ninth Aether Current is at Sinus Tormenti in the west region of Mare Lamentorum. Endwalker players can discover it atop some rubble at X: 33.2, Y: 23.7, Z: 1.4. The last current can be found nearby at X: 29.2, Y: 27.6, Z: 1.0. Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker players can attune to this last one by walking toward the end of a ridge pointing west.
