Mark Hamill gives a hilarious response to one of the odder pieces of Spider-Man merchandise out there. Hamill, originally famous for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, has become a popular Twitter user in recent years. The actor not only uses his platform to share behind the scenes tidbits and images from the original Star Wars films and discuss his other popular roles such as the The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, but also to support social issues and Hamill fans by sharing their fan art. At the very least, Hamill is known as one of the most inoffensive celebrities on currently on Twitter.

Similar to Hamill’s turns in Star Wars and Batman: The Animated SeriesSpider-Man is another pop culture franchise that’s endured for decades. One of the most popular Marvel characters, Spider-Man remains a huge draw, as evidenced by the record breaking box office success of last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Of course, this means Spider-Man is a character ripe for merchandising opportunities, with everything from licensed toys to apparel available. Some items are more bizarre than others, as Hamill humorously points out.

Hamill took to Twitter to highlight a problem with the social media platform, while also bringing to light an odd piece of Spider-Man merchandise. The actor shared one of his own quote-tweets whose parent post was deleted. Hamill’s original tweet reads, “does this mean his Spidey-sense is tingling?” which may raise eyebrows without context. Hamill points out how irritating it is when a tweet gets isolated, and shared a picture of a Spider-Man Kleenex box. The imagery on the box depicts Spider-Man facing downward as if he’s crawling down a wall. This unfortunately makes it look like the tissues are coming out of Spider-Man’s butt. Of course, Hamill’s tweet has been met with many different hilarious comments from fans. Many have shared their own experiences with deleted Twitter parent-posts while, others have pointed out that if this is what Hamill finds the most irritating about Twitter, he’s a lucky man. Other Twitter users have shared their own pieces of questionable superhero merchandise, with a notable entry being a photo of someone drinking out of a water fountain which is attached to a wall mural of Super-Man in a rather unfortunate location.

As it stands, Hamill remains a bright spot on Twitter. He has once again managed to post something so simple that will no doubt brighten the days of all of his fans. Similarly, Hamill has also managed to both highlight a Twitter issue that has been persistent for years, while simultaneously pointing out that Kleenex may need to be a little more careful with their final designs in the future (particularly when it comes to Spider-Man). It seems that Hamill will always be a conduit for the light side of the Force in the world.
