Marriage or Mortgage on Netflix is a cross between HGTV’s Love It or List It and TLC shows like Say Yes to the Dress or Four Weddings. A realtor, Nichole Holmes, and a wedding planner, Sarah Miller, go head to head in a challenge to get each couple to choose marriage or mortgage. The co-hosts are competitive but still fun and friendly.

As for the couples, many of them are genuinely likable and offer viewers interesting perspectives on the tasks of planning a wedding and purchasing a home. These processes can make anyone feel stressed, but they can also bring out moments of laughter and love. Which couples appear most likable on Marriage or Mortgage?

10 Evan & Liz

Evan and Liz are moving to Tennessee from Naples, Florida. In the event that they have a wedding, they’re interested in making it a Nashville-centered experience for friends and family from out of town. If they go with house-buying, Evan and Liz have quite a wish list to keep themselves and their dog, Franklin, happy. Throughout their experiences with Sarah and Nichole, Liz and Evan aren’t particularly unlikable, but they can also be a bit obnoxious. For example, Liz’s interest in partying at the potential wedding is not painted in the best light, and Evan wants a new fence at the potential house just so that he can walk around naked without being seen.

9 Andrew & Hayley

Andrew and Hayley seem like nice people, but they leave some viewers scratching heads. Throughout the entire journey of choosing a home or a wedding, viewers continually hear about how Andrew and Hayley need more space so that they can host Bible studies. However, they are intentionally waiting until they wed to consummate their relationship. Their place on the series feels somewhat circular, and they aren’t the most likable of the couples.

8 Braxton & Emily

Emily and Braxton are both fitness professionals, and they both still live with their parents on the show. These two are open to either purchasing a home or achieving their dream wedding day. Throughout the home search, Braxton is adamant that his shower have just the right water pressure and space so that he can stretch while showering.

Emily says that she and Braxton probably would not eat wedding cake, so Sarah presents them with an epic wall of doughnuts that they could use at the reception. Braxton and Emily are committed to each other and aren’t unlikable, although it seems like they might be a bit high maintenance.

7 Scott & Brittany

Brittany and Scott are one of Nichole’s toughest couples to please in the home search. Scott and Brittany are looking to be near Brittany’s family just outside of Nashville, but neither of them like the rustic style that keeps popping up. They can be picky, but they’re so caring and are focused on their shared future. Brittany and Scott are cute taking dance lessons and riding around in a Rolls Royce in Sarah’s wedding planning sessions, and they’re definitely a fun and likable couple.

6 Nick & Denise

Denise and Nick form a blended family with Nick’s daughter, Tatum. While a house is a sensible option, Nick never had a proper wedding, so he and Denise are exploring a Graceland-themed wedding. As Sarah shows them a potential spread that even Elvis would approve of, Nick and Denise show a unique sense of humor. They tear up at the more sensitive touches, too, like a handkerchief with Denise’s dad’s name on it during wedding planning, or a bedroom all set up for Tatum during house-shopping. Nichole also creates a sweet playroom inspired by Nick and Denise’s desire to adopt more children. This couple is down to Earth, practical, sweet, and sensitive.

5 Alex & Precious

Alex and Precious are a relatable couple looking to either have a wedding or upgrade to their dream home. Alex is more easygoing, and Precious can be more reserved at times. She opens up in the episode about a desire to have children amid a struggle with her fertility. Precious and Alex balance each other out well and clearly take their life choices seriously. As Nichole and Sarah wow them with housing and wedding choices, Alex and Precious take it all in and have some fun with the process. Precious asks good questions to make sure all the expenses are transparent. She and Alex would be reliable friends to wedding plan or house-hunt with in real life.

4 Eli & Sarah

Eli and Sarah have a unique story as they come to Marriage or Mortgage. Eli, a veteran, was injured while serving in the military and now walks with one prosthetic leg. Viewers are both heartbroken and angry at the fact that the couple’s neighbors bother them about noise when Eli moves about their apartment. Sarah and Eli have some struggles to deal with on the show, and they’re also great people that viewers would want to be friends with. They are judicious when it comes to spending, they ask smart questions, and they’re still all about experiencing life to the fullest together. Seeing them ride over Nashville in a helicopter makes fans just as happy as seeing them land their dream home. Sadly, according to Women’s Health Mag, Sarah and Eli may no longer be together, and Sarah is currently living in Massachusetts instead of Nashville.

3 Cindy & Karla

Karla and Cindy are living in the home that Karla once shared with her ex, and it’s time for the couple to have a fresh start. Cindy, the pastor of a church serving the LGBTQ+ community, performed the wedding ceremony for Karla and her ex-wife. Therefore, Karla is more inclined to skip another wedding and go for the house.

Cindy, on the other hand, wants a celebration of her and Karla’s love. Though they have different goals on the reality show, Cindy and Karla are supportive of one another throughout the whole process. It’s good for viewers to see their story and watch them fulfill their hopes together.

2 Whitney & Alex

One special thing about Whitney and Alex is that they spend all their time together since they are coworkers in the medical field. The nurses are trying to decide between the perfect home and the perfect wedding day. Alex and Whitney are so intentional in planning out both options. They specifically want an altar for their intimate wedding ceremony, and they want the home they would choose to fit just right for their cat, Georgie, too. Whitney and Alex are responsible in the decision-making process, but they still know how to enjoy themselves and appreciate the little things.

1 Antonio & Raven

Antonio and Raven are the sweetest couple, which is probably why they get to make custom Goo Goo Cluster candies as sample party favors. Raven and Antonio have two young sons who could use more space than the family’s current apartment offers. It’s relaxing to watch Antonio, Raven, and their kids look at houses with Nichole and test out wedding decisions with Sarah. Antonio and Raven are clearly amazing parents, and it makes sense that Raven wants a space in the home all to herself. The couple is so laidback, so it’s easy for viewers to root for their happiness.
