Married at First Sight season 11 is in full gear with the new couples officially moved in together, but MAFS season 10 alums, Meka Jones and Michael Watson, have finalized their decision to call it quits. This split is happening while season 11 couples are getting adjusted to their marriages.

Married at First Sight season 10 saw four of the five couples decide to get divorced after MAFS, leaving Austin Hurd and Jessica Studer as the only match the experts got right. Although the other couples opted for a divorce months ago, some of them are still going through the process of separating. For Meka and Michael, the process is now over. Their relationship ended in divorce.

As stated in the video, the original agreement was for a divorce, but Michael changed his mind and opted to try for an annulment. To get the annulment, they both needed to go to virtual court. Meka represented herself, while Michael had legal representation. He is also slated to be the attorney for his castmate Brandon, for his separation from Taylor. Michael’s argument was that he was cold-called to be a part of the popular reality series and didn’t believe the reality TV marriage was real. His legal representation also stated he believed Meka changing her name indicated that she was hiding something.

In the end, Meka has shared that she was happy with either getting a divorce or an annulment, as long as she was separated from him. The annulment is the preferred outcome but it does beg the question: What does this mean for future separated Married at First Sight couples?
