Haley Harris from Lifetime’s Married At First Sight reveals where she now stands with Jacob Harder, also known as Jake. The reality television star finalized her divorce early this year following the show’s Decision Day. Hayley, an Account Executive living in Atlanta, met the IT specialist and Ohio native during season 12. Although the two were not on good terms while signing the divorce papers, Haley revealed that things changed since then. The two decided to remain amicable without holding animosity toward the other. 

Haley and Jake seemed to gel well at the start of their relationship. However, a trip to Vegas for a honeymoon left Haley feeling like something was not there between them. She did not reveal that the intimate encounter had anything to do with the separation, but she indicated that a lack of conversation could have influenced her change in emotions.

According to Reality TV World, Haley told Kevin Frazier, host of the Married At First Sight: Kick-Off Special, that she and Jake do not speak to one another. Haley said, “We cut ties, and that was it.” The reality star continued to date in spite of her split from Jake. Haley shared, “I mean, I have a couple dates scheduled but nothing serious, just casual, so that’s it.” Hayley said about her ex-husband, “He’s going to be great for someone, just not for me.” Likewise, Jake wished Haley well on an Instagram Live prompted by negative comments by co-star Virginia Coombs. Jake said, “I don’t like her as a person and together we were very bad, but I don’t wish her ill will. I hope she finds her person and gets her sh-t together and lives a happy life.” Virginia accused Jake of being “fake”and pressuring Haley towards intimacy. 

Haley’s reaction during the honeymoon in Vegas gave viewers the idea that the physical chemistry was not there between the two. Months later, Jake responded to this with, “[Haley] is the one dogging me on national TV… And the real story behind that whole [sex] thing, I’m not going to get into details, but it’s not what people probably think.” He continued to defend his position on the split, “It’s much more less eventful, and it just wasn’t good all around — for her or for me either.”

Haley and Jake from Married At First Sight seem to be on mutual terms when it comes to their split. The reason for the sudden change in Haley’s emotional and physical attraction to Jake may never really be known. One thing is for sure, the pair seem to agree that they did not work well together, but they both wish happiness for the other.
