Deonna McNeill was one of the lucky people to come out of Married At First Sight having found the love of her life, Greg Okotie. Recently, Deonna and Greg welcomed a beautiful baby boy in March 2021. Despite the show’s very low success rate when it comes to putting people together, Deonna was indeed able to find her person on the reality show, which is an amazing feat in itself. Since giving birth, she’s been focused on being a new parent and entering this new chapter in her life.

Greg and Deonna are still going strong and remain many fans’ favorite couple (sorry Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis!). On Married At First Sight, Greg and Deonna clicked instantly with their values, morals, and ambition aligned, especially due to their deeply religious backgrounds. So, while other season 9 couples were fighting and getting nowhere in their marriages, Deonna and Greg were lucky to be together. Amber Bowles wasn’t so lucky as her marriage collapsed due to Matt’s inconsistency and wandering eye. While Amber didn’t stay with Matt, she is doing amazing and even bought her dream house. Amber is also still close with Deonna and Greg.

As some time has passed by, Deonna and Greg have chosen to keep close to a few of their Married At First Sight season 9 co-stars, such as Amber and Iris Caldwell. These two have featured in Deonna and Greg’s brand Akpersiri, which is a Nigerian word that means “good life.” It is also Greg’s middle name. The pair also decided to start showing their love for God. The brand sells t-shirts, jumpers, bottoms, accessories, and more. They found a way to turn their passion into a brand and the business appears to be thriving.

As the popular saying goes, couples that do business together tend to stay together. As such it seems like Deonna and Greg are in it for the long haul as their love exudes. The couple also keeps in touch with Jamie Thompson and Elizabeth Bice from their season. On social media, Deonna regularly shares videos for her followers on tips and tricks to maintain natural hair. These videos receive a lot of views on her Instagram page.

Deonna and Greg were lucky to be matched with each other, as they go together very well. With this new chapter started as them being parents, it will be interesting to see the amazing things they will do as a family. In fact, they could even add baby apparel to their clothing business. Their relationship is a great example of what Married At First Sight can achieve. This process is very unconventional, but it can work for some people. It will be exciting to see if Married At First Sight season 13 be able to achieve a better success rate for the series.
