Married At First Sight: What Happened To Davina & Sean After Divorce

Davina Kuller and Sean Varricchio are Married At First Sight alums who were instantly attracted to one another. Unfortunately, their attraction wasn’t enough to make their marriage work. They were hot and heavy at first but sizzled out as the connection wasn’t being nurtured. One issue was that they spent most of their marriage apart (Sean lived in New Jersey and Davina was a Manhattan girl) and neither wanted to budge. They got divorced, like other MAFS cast members, including Luke Cuccurullo and Kate Sisk, but both have now moved on.

Davina and Sean’s marriage deteriorated fast. At the wedding, their connection was apparent, but the claws came out after the honeymoon. They could not agree on where to live, so they rarely saw each other during the experiment. In an interview with NY Post, Davina said that she felt like she never saw the real Sean: “I don’t think the real Sean, the genuine Sean ever really showed up.” She also said that she was surprised that their friendship was forgotten once the decision to divorce was made. She remarked, “It makes it difficult to have a friendship because a friendship is based on trust, based on components of character, and those were unfortunately laid to the side.” Sean spoke to the same outlet, saying that he felt like he was walking on “eggshells” during their marriage. He also said that Davina was sometimes unwilling to “compromise.”

They have not spoken since their season ended. Sean has distanced himself from the franchise completely. Davina went on to find her forever person. She married Donald Davis in 2016 and gave birth to an adorable baby boy named Hudson in May 2019. While she wasn’t a woman who had a baby with a MAFS partner, she finally got the happy ending she was looking for. On the other hand, Sean has kept his life relatively private. He does not post much on his social media, except about sports. He did mention on Twitter in October 2018 that he had gotten engaged at a San Jose Sharks game. They were the only couple from their season to choose divorce. However, the other couples did not last long after deciding to stay married. Jessica and Ryan started on a good note, like Davina and Sean, but they had a lot of explosive arguments. Despite this huge red flag in their relationship, they stayed together on Decision Day. It was not surprising when they revealed that they had filed for divorce, but fans were surprised when Jessica shared that she had filed a restraining order against him.

Another couple from Married At First Sight season 2, Jaclyn and Ryan, chose to stay together on Decision Day. There was initially no attraction, but they worked through it and it was good for a while. Jaclyn revealed that Ryan told her he did not have feelings for her, and they divorced. Now, Jaclyn has a sweet baby. Although some of the season’s marriages did not work out, there were women who found love soon afterward and then had babies. While Davina may not have fallen in love with her match as the experts had hoped (the experts failed with Chris and Paige too), she ultimately found what she was looking for, and Sean seems content, too.
