Deonna and Greg Okotie are one of the cutest couples to come out of Married At First Sight. They were both invested in the marriage, and their similar backgrounds allowed for their initial connection to blossom into something greater. In this instance, the experts got it right. This couple is one of the lucky few who were matched with an amazing partner and managed to make their marriage work outside of the MAFS bubble.

During season 9 of Married At First Sight, Deonna and Greg went from strength to strength. As the season progressed, it was evident why they were matched. They were both incredibly religious, and their morals and values aligned. The visions they both had for their futures were in tune with one another, and they were great at communicating. It was no surprise to viewers when the pair chose to stay married at the end of the season While other marriages, like Keith Manley and Iris Caldwell’s, burned around them, they were able to stay together.

The couple recently welcomed a baby boy in March 2021. Greg posted an adorable Instagram photo of their newborn son, whom they named Declan. The adorable picture was captioned, “Our little man has arrived! Everyone meet Declan Okotie! He came into the world over the weekend and it was a journey (36 hrs of labor 😳).” He went on to thank his 211K followers for their support and prayers. Greg added how proud he was of Deonna for enduring the pain of birth and showed appreciation for his wife.

Deonna and Greg’s 2021 has been very exciting so far. As well as adjusting to being new parents, they have been running an incredibly popular YouTube channel called The Okoties. There, they update fans about their life and include viewers on their journey towards becoming new parents. Greg also recently updated fans about a road trip they went on with their new baby. Former castmates from Married At First Sight like Jessica Studer commented on the photo, saying, “Omg he’s so little and looking right at you 😍❤️. Really sweet pic!” Jamie Thompson also commented, “Simply wow! Congratulations to you two.”

Greg and Deonna have received a lot of love and support from fans and fellow cast members alike. They remain fan favorites because of how well they meshed and their inspiring relationship. It gives fans of the show hope that the matchmaking process does work. Viewers of Married At First Sight lost faith in the experts after a few seasons of horrible matches. However, fans are hopeful that more couples like Greg and Deonna will come out of the process.
