Ryan Ranellone appeared on Married At First Sight season 2, and here’s everything he’s been up to since starring on the experimental dating series. Ryan fought an uphill battle on the show trying to make his marriage work, and ultimately, didn’t end up wanting what he wished for once he got it. From dealing with marital issues after Married At First Sight to focusing on his career, here’s all there is to know about Ryan’s journey after reality TV.

Ryan was introduced to Married At First Sight’s audience on March 17, 2015, during the season 2 premiere. This season of the hit reality series focused on couples living in the northern New Jersey and New York City areas. At the time of filming, Ryan was a 28-year-old real estate agent looking for a wife to settle down with. At the altar, Ryan met his wife Jaclyn Methuen, a vodka saleswoman that was 30 years old. Alas, the dynamic between Ryan and Jaclyn was off from the moment the couple saw one another. On a physical level, Ryan and Jaclyn were not the most compatible couple on Married At First Sight. While it might have been love at first sight for Ryan, Jaclyn was not as taken with her new husband.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Jaclyn admitted to Ryan that she didn’t feel a strong attraction to him. Ryan, however, was drawn to Jaclyn and did his best to make it out of the friend zone. On Decision Day, Ryan had convinced Jaclyn to give him another chance, and the couple chose to stay married. Funny enough, after their season of Married At First Sight ended, Ryan became the spouse that was hard to please. Even though Jaclyn was determined to give her marriage with Ryan a shot following their experience on TV, Ryan reportedly stopped caring for his wife post-show. During the MAFS season 2 reunion, Jaclyn stated that Ryan checked out of their marriage as soon as the cameras stopped rolling. The couple got divorced after Married At First Sight and Ryan admitted, “I am guilty of not making a tremendous effort in trying to make it work.”

Although it has been over half a decade since Ryan gave up on his marriage with Jaclyn, it appears he maintains the same ambivalent attitude toward the romantic ceremony today. Ryan is active on his social media, but instead of sharing pictures of him and his new family, Ryan’s feeds are full of posts dedicated to his real estate career. On Instagram, Ryan has accumulated 15,400 followers, and although the majority of his followers want to keep up with the alum’s personal life, Ryan doesn’t get too deep online. Instead of featuring a new significant other, Ryan’s Instagram is solely dedicated to the units he’s busy selling in New York and Connecticut. Ryan isn’t totally alone since his Married At First Sight divorce, as his dog Daisy keeps him company.

Ryan might not have been the most dedicated husband in MAFS history, but he learned a valuable lesson from his experience on the reality show. It seems Ryan loves the chase more than actually being married, and he has continued living the single life ever since he got a taste of settling down. Hopefully, Ryan’s story deters bachelors who have no real interest in getting Married At First Sight.
