Kate Sisk from Married At First Sight endured a lot during her time on the show, and we’ve learned what she’s been up to this year. Her marriage to her husband Luke Cuccurullo was a train wreck from the beginning. During their journey, Luke said a lot of hurtful things, including the fact that he felt “repulsed and dead inside” when he kissed her. However, their season was a while ago. Now, it seems like Kate has newfound confidence. She started a lingerie brand called Hidden Intimates.

Kate and Luke’s marriage was probably one of the worst in Married At First Sight history, not counting Paige Banks and Chris Williams’ troubled union. On the honeymoon, Luke revealed that he was not attracted to his wife Kate. He told her as much, and they were committed to working on it. However, when they attempted a kiss off-camera, Luke recoiled from her. After this, everything went downhill. During their one-month anniversary, Luke did not celebrate with Kate, which made her have doubts about their marriage. At the end of the process, even the experts expressed that they thought divorce was the best route for them.

Now Kate has built her lingerie brand, Hidden Intimates. The website includes underwear and sleepwear. In an @katesisk1 Instagram post, Kate talked about owning a lingerie brand and said she was interested in, getting to have some say and power in what women can choose to wear and who they see wearing it when they shop.” She went on to explain that she is on a mission to incorporate as much diversity and inclusion as possible into her brand. She appears to be achieving this, as there is a wide representation on the site.

Kate has found her power. Her time on Married At First Sight may have hurt her confidence, but she seems to have regained it. Following the show, she did reveal that she wanted to leave the marriage with Luke early, but the producers said she would be fined $100,000, which she did not have. However, Dr. Viviana denied this. She says they do not force cast members to stay with their matches. Viewers have seen other bad pairings like Amber Bowles and Matt Gwynne and some people are better off apart.

The participants are not to blame however, while Woody and Amani Randall have been lucky enough to connect, Married At First Sight, has a notoriously low success rate. So, when couples fail, they should know that the issue does not lie with them. When season 12 of the show ends, it will be interesting to see the next season and the participants. Fans would love to see a season where all of the contestants end up in happy marriages, but that may never happen.
