Pastor Dwight has quickly become an overnight fan favorite on Married At First Sight due to his blunt honesty and straight-talking advice. Fans have even suggested he take over from the experts, since viewers have not been impressed with them the last few seasons. Chris’ situation is unprecedented, and he has not taken accountability according to fans. They feel that he should have never gone on the show. So it was great to see someone close to him hold him accountable for his behavior so far.

Pastor Dwight is married to Elisa Bennett Buckner and they have two children together. He also recently released a new book titled 5 Things Every Man Needs In His Life.

Chris called Pastor Dwight out on the speech he gave him on the episode when he called Pastor Dwight to tell him he had doubts about going through with the process. The pastor dissuaded him, “You said ‘it’s just the devil and this process was God ordained.’ You were the first person I called when I found out about the pregnancy, but then you told me that [Mercedes] was lying and not to believe her even though you had never met her.” It seems that after the show, Chris and Pastor Dwight may not be friends anymore, considering how angry Chris seemed to be in the post.
