WARNING: This article contains SPOILERS for Spider-Man: No Way Home

A new ad for Spider-Man: No Way Home reveals the movie’s comic-accurate Spidey suit. Spider-Man: No Way Home is the latest MCU Phase 4 film and effectively ended the Spider-Man: Homecoming trilogy. The sequel picks up directly after the events of its predecessor, with Peter Parker’s identity being revealed to the world. After going to Doctor Strange for help making the world forget that he is Spider-Man, the universe starts to be invaded by villains from past Spider-Man movies who know Peter’s secret identity.

Peter Parker has gotten a new suit in every Spider-Man movie to date, and Spider-Man: No Way Home is no exception. Parker starts off in his red and black suit from Spider-Man: Far From Home and also wears his Iron Spider armor in his battle against Doc Ock. Spider-Man flips his red and black suit inside out for his battle against Electro and eventually upgrades to the Integrated suit for the final battle. If that wasn’t enough, the final shot of Spider-Man: No Way Home features Peter in his iconic red and blue outfit that is the most comic-accurate the MCU has seen thus far.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

A new Christmas-themed ad for Spider-Man: No Way Home shared on the official Spider-Man Facebook page reveals Spider-Man’s comic-accurate suit seen at the end of the film. This is the first time the red and blue suit has been seen in marketing material, as this was intended to be a surprise for movie-goers. The full video can be seen below (via ClipMania01).

Peter having a new suit at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home makes a lot of sense. His life has completely changed, with him now living on his own and nobody having any memory of him. Peter is entering a new stage of his life, so it is natural for him to want to change up his look. The end of the trilogy also sets up a great starting point for Spider-Man 4, 5, and 6. Kevin Feige has confirmed that Spider-Man 4 is in active development, yet Holland has shown concern about playing the character for too long. The MCU has dropped a few teases of Miles Morales, so it seems likely Holland will continue playing the role and teach Miles the ropes of protecting New York.

Marketing for Spider-Man: No Way Home revealed the return of Doc Ock and multiple other villains. However, the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield was kept a secret. With the two actors teaming up with Holland’s Spider-Man being one of the most exciting parts of the movie, it’s only a matter of time until all three Spideys are featured in marketing material. Marvel will likely give fans a few more weeks to see the movie before they start dropping significant spoilers in new TV spots, but the reveal of this suit is already fairly significant since it shows the final scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
