The Gold Goblin is about to be born in the Marvel Universe, and in new cover art, Norman Osborn’s new heroic persona gets a closer spotlight. In cover art from Taurin Clark for Gold Goblin #2 by Marvel Comics, readers get a closer look at Osborn’s Gold Goblin persona, as his turn towards heroism gives Osborn a new costume that is the Spider-Man villain like you’ve never seen him before.

Norman Osborn has rarely been a hero in the Marvel Universe, as the Green Goblin has long been one of Spider-Man’s most menacing villains. However, after Norman Osborn was cleansed of his sins as Green Goblin by the Sin-Eater, he decided to help make the world a better place, including hiring Peter Parker to work alongside him. Osborn has built Spider-Man a new suit as Peter is beginning to trust him. Norman Osborn will be taking on his own heroic persona and costume soon, as the Gold Goblin is close to debuting in his upcoming limited series.

In a new cover reveal for Gold Goblin #2 by Christopher Cantwell and Lan Medina from Marvel Comics, part of Spider-Man’s upcoming Dark Web event, Norman Osborn’s new costume gets a closer look. In the artwork by artist Taurin Clarke, the former Green Goblin’s costume is white and gold, as he stands on a gold glider that gives Osborn a strikingly different look than he’s ever had. In addition, the gold details throughout Gold Goblin’s costume look great, as he wields a new kind of pumpkin bomb.

The new art from Taurin Clarke also reveals that the former Spider-Man villain’s helmet is also somewhat transparent, as Norman Osborn’s face can be seen in the costume. Additionally, the synopsis for Gold Goblin #2 teases that after facing Chasm in the Dark Web crossover event, he will face a “terrifying opponent” in the issue, as his time as a hero “might be quite short.”
