One Marvel’s Spider-Man player recently used Spidey’s Blitz Suit Power to beat the Taskmaster into submission. One of the many popular aspects of Insomniac’s critically-acclaimed 2018 superhero title is how it offers up several different Spider-Man costumes, each one with its own special ability. Even better, players can mix and match different suits and powers to create their own custom web-slinger with which to defend Marvel’s Spider-Man’s open-world version of New York City.

While some fans feel that the Suit Power options in both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales suffer from a lack of variety and are too centered around combat, there are plenty of unique abilities that give Peter or Miles an extra edge while battling against common criminals or hardened supervillains. One of these is the Blitz power, which is unlocked alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man’s Adi Granov-designed Velocity Suit and allows Spidey to charge at his foes in a burst of kinetic energy. While the Velocity Suit is popular enough on its own, its special Blitz Suit ability can be just as useful in combination with any other costume in Spidey’s ever-growing wardrobe.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Reddit user goodnesswhy3 recently figured out how to use the Blitz Suit power to defeat the Taskmaster during his brief appearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man. As shown in a gameplay clip (via GameRant), Spidey activates his Blitz Suit power to repeatedly charge into Taskmaster and exploit the power-mimicking mercenary’s vulnerability to throwables and counterattacks. Normally, the Suit Abilities in Marvel’s Spider-Man can’t be spammed like this due to running on a cooldown meter, but goodnesswhy3 was able to combine the Focus Bar with environmental resources and gadget ammunition to enhance the Blitz attack’s power enough to be able to defeat Marvel’s Spider-Man’s Taskmaster with relative ease.

Marvel’s Spider-Man players have been posting some pretty amusing gameplay videos featuring rare glitches or completely random occurrences in the years since the game first swung onto the PlayStation 4 to great success in 2018. In these videos, Spidey has used his web-swinging abilities to get a seat for an unlucky rooftop partygoer, been suddenly transported to an upside-down reality similar to Doctor Strange’s Mirror Dimension from the MCU, and has even fallen prey to a nasty twist of fate as a train struck him mere seconds after he successfully rescues a pigeon.

There is certainly no shortage of options for players looking to put their own creative spin on taking down the bad guys in Marvel’s Spider-Man, as Taskmaster recently found out the hard way at the hands of Peter and his Blitz Suit power. With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 set to be released on the PS5 sometime next year, fans are left to wonder what kinds of new suits and abilities players will be able to utilize in the upcoming battles against Venom and Kraven The Hunter.
