Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed the trophy list for Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 game ahead of the game’s official launch. The PlayStation title is one of the most anticipated games of this console generation so far, and the fact that it’s exclusive to one platform hasn’t weighed it down in any way. In fact, it may even contribute to a boost in PS4 sales in the fall and upcoming holiday season, especially with people looking to get the special PS4 Pro version that comes in all red.

The first reviews for Marvel’s Spider-Man went live a few days ago, with the vast majority of critics praising the game’s story and combat, as well as parts of its open world, which contains all of Manhattan Island in New York. Considering that this is Spidey’s first time headlining a triple-A game in years, it makes sense that the developer would give players a lot to do, such as completing various side missions, tasks, and puzzles, not to mention the actual story. And doing all that will result in lots of trophies.

Platinum

  • Be Greater – Collect all Trophies

It sure looks like neither studio wasted the opportunity to sneak in a few clever puns and comic references into the trophy list. For instance, defeating Martin Li, aka Mister Negative, results in the trophy titled “Staying Positive”, with perching atop the Avengers Tower resulting in obtaining the trophy, “Hero for Higher”. For those that don’t know, Spider-Man was once a member of the Marvel Comics superhero team Heroes for Hire, which was originally made famous because of it being started by Power Man (Luke Cage) and Iron Fist (Danny Rand). Of course, there are also plenty of other call-backs, like obtaining the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man trophy for completing all the side missions.

Players looking to collect them all and achieve 100% completion in the game will need to spend more than 20 hours in it, which is the approximate time it will take just to get through the main campaign. And with swinging across Manhattan consuming extra time, such an endeavor may take players more than a few dozen hours – but it will have been well worth it.
